The figures from ASKCI indicate that the Chinese tourism industry's contribution to GDP was 9.13 trillion,accounting for 11.04 percent of the GDP.Today the economic development and social stability benefit a lot from the growing scale of the tourism.Under this circumstance,Chinese people' s demand for tourism has become more diversified and personalized.Our diversified tourism needs have bred many different tourism segmentation markets and laid the foundation for the parent-child tourism.With the improvement of the Regulations of Paid Annual Leave of Employees and the implementation of the universal two-child policy,there will be broader development space for the domestic parent-child market.However,we have faced many problems in the development process of the parent-child tourism market.For instance,the majority of the parent-child tourism products can not fully meet the needs of the related tourists,exerting negative influences on the customers' travelling experiences and hindering the sustainable development of parent-child tourism.Chengdu is a well-known and representative travel city in China.It not only has a long history but also has rich tourism resources.In recent years,the parent-child tourism in Chengdu has developed rapidly.However,there still many problems need to be solved.For example,Chengdu's parent-child tourism products commonly have an under-served reputation and serious homogenization issues.Therefore,the research on the development of parent-child travel products in Chengdu not only can improve product quality,but also optimize the structure of parent-child travel products.Furthermore,it will contribute to the healthy and sustainable development of the parent-child travel market in this city.What's more,it will play a demonstrative role in guiding the development of parent-child travel market in other cities.Consequently,the author tries to use the theory of tourism demand and the theory of consumer demand,combined with relevant statistical methods,to analyze the demands of parent-child customers in Chengdu.Mainly by measuring the attitudes of the customers' towards the products,the author tries to propose the development strategy and related suggestions for the parent-child tourism products in Chengdu.The innovation of this paper: based on the needs of tourists,the author explores the demands of parent-child tourists in Chengdu.Besides,according to the customer needs,this paper builds a development model for Chengdu's parent-child tourism products to play a guiding role for other cities.
