In the context of the increasingly complex global business competition environment,innovation has become the key to shaping the core competitive advantage which helps to promote long-term development.Previous scholars started from organizational management to explore the impact of organizational environment on employees` innovation behavior which mainly focused on leadership style and innovation atmosphere.Later,more and more scholars began to explore the impact of work stress on employee innovation behavior from the perspective of positive psychology.And the challengeobstructive stress model further promoted such research to a climax.According to the relevant literatures at home and abroad,the negative impact of hindrance stressor has been unified.However,the positive impact of challenging stressor is still confusing.Some scholars believe challenging stressor could improve employee achievement motivation,increase work engagement,and promote pro-organizational behaviors such as innovation and advice;other experts believe challenging stressor will also lead to negative emotions,which causes job withdrawal and non-ethical behaviors.In order to analyze the intrinsic influence mechanism of challenging stressor on employees` innovation behavior,this study based on the characteristics of stressor source and the nature of stress,guided by cognitive evaluation theory and conservation of resource theory,combined with the social phenomenon that "the adult's collapse is quiet",introduces feedback seeking behavior and emotional exhaustion two variables to reveal the two-sides impact of challenging stressor.Firstly,through the theoretical analysis of relationship between challenging stressor,feedback seeking behavior,emotional exhaustion and employees` innovation behavior,this study proposed the theoretical model about the impact of challenging stressor on employees` innovation behavior.Then,through pre-survey and revision,formed formal research questionnaire.After that,author used SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 17.0 to carry out correlation analysis and path analysis on 341 valid questionnaire data.The results show that: comprehensively,challenging stressor has a significant positive impact on employees` innovation behavior;specifically,on the one hand,it positively influence employees` innovation by promoting employees` feedback seeking behavior,and on the other hand,it negatively affects employees` innovation because of the emotional exhaustion of employees.
