With the increase in China's aid to African countries in recent years, the specific impact of China's aid on African recipient countries has also received increasing attention. This paper tends to get the related information of China's aid to Africa from 2000-2013 "AidData China aid to African countries data",to gain the export data and calculate the complexity of export products between African countries and China from " the BACI bilateral trade data",and to obtain the information of African countries economic and social situation from "the world development index(WDI)database".Meanwhile,we control the influence of variate s,such as the share of expenditure on education in each African recipient countries, the proportion of expenditure on health and the investment in technology r&d of African countries, etc. Then the paper empirically examines the impact of China's aid to Africa on the export structure of African recipient countries and the impact of China's aid to Africa on China's own export structure from the perspectives of recipient countries and donor countries.Further,in order to verify the credibility of the empirical test results, this paper conducted a series of robustness tests on the results of the empirical test by replacing the calculation method of export complexity, distinguishing product types, distinguishing aid types and other methods, which verified the accuracy of the empirical results of this paper. Then, this paper also conducted endogenous tests on the impact of China's aid to Africa on the export structure of African recipient countries and the impact of China's aid to Africa on China's own export structure, respectively, using the method of instrumental variables, which solved the potential endogenous problems. Finally, this paper also tested the influence of China's aid to Africa on the export structure of African recipient countries and the transmission mechanism of the influence of China's aid to Africa on China's own export structure by building a model similar to partial mediation effect. The empirical results of this paper show that China's aid will make both African recipient countries and China increase the export proportion of the products that are appropriate to their development level and reduce the export proportion of the products that are out of line with their development level. Therefore,China's aid to Africa is conducive to the adjustment of the export structure of African recipient countries and China towards a more appropriate level of their own economic development, and is conducive to the healthy development of African recipient countries and China's own economy. Therefore, this paper can prove that China's aid to Africa can really promote the trade between China and the reciprocity, contradicting effectively the theory of "Chinese aid waste” from domestic people as well as the negative views that" China's aid to Africa is predatory " and " the China's aid to Africa is not conducive to the economic development of the recipient countries ” from the international media and some scholars.
