An Empirical Study On The Impact Of The Corn Price Volatility On The Corn Industry Security In China

Food security is a war that can't be afforded.As a special strategic commodity,corn is one of the Chinese three major staple foods.It plays an important part in the country's economic development and security strategy.It is an essential material related to the national economy and people's livelihood.It is of great significance to the country's economic development and security strategy.Food prices affect food security directly,and corn is the most representative agricultural product of food.Therefore,the impact of fluctuations in corn prices on corn industry security should be concerned to us.In recent years,in the case of increasing food production in successive years,the amount of grain imports has not decreased,and the scale of stocks has continued to expand,especially the serious backlog of corn.China's domestic corn prices has deviated from the market,and domestic and international corn prices have been upside down.In 2017,the government implemented a price-separation policy,and the farmers' income from corn is getting lower and lower.All in all,it is particularly important to pay attention to the impact of corn price fluctuations on the safety of China's corn industry and even China's food security.Therefore,ensuring the supply of the corn market,ensuring the stability of corn prices,improving the corn emergency reserve system,and minimizing the risk of corn supply and demand security are important,regardless of the stage of economic development,this problem is out of date.We Chinese want to put our rice bowl in ourselves hands.This paper studies the theoretical support for the impact of corn price fluctuations on the safety of the corn industry,including three conduction paths.Excluding the influence of policy factors,the mechanism of action is divided into corn production safety,corn circulation safety and corn consumption safety.That is to say,the entropy weight method to establish corn industry security is divided into three subsystems.In contrast,the corn circulation safety subsystem has the greatest impact on the safety of the corn industry.Through empirical analysis,it is found that corn price fluctuations have significant effects on corn yield,total feed production and corn consumption in the three subsystems,so the above three indicators are predicted.According to the empirical analysis of the impact of corn price fluctuation on the safety of corn industry,the countermeasures and suggestions for stabilizing corn price and ensuring food security are put forward.It mainly includes: adjusting the corn industry structure,stabilizing corn production and farmers' income;rationally opening up the corn market,reducing the impact of corn price fluctuations;improving the corn storage system,accelerating the improvement of relevant safety legislation;vigorously developing ecological agriculture,improving corn quality and strengthening supervision Rely on the “OneBelt,One Road” initiative to strengthen the governance of global food security.
