Chinese Corn Industrial Security Evaluation Research Under The Background Of Multinational Enterprises Investment

As an important component of grain crop system, the status of development of the corn industry has a significant effect to the grain and also the country economic security. Multinational grain companies have joined the local corn market since we carried out the policy of market opening further. This kind of enterprises have promoted the local competition and also brought unsecurity factors. So it is a significance to evaluate the security status of corn industry on the background of multinational grain companies investment.In order to make sure how the multinational food enterprises will affect chinese local corn market, this thesis firstly analysed examples of chinese, argentine and brazlian local soybean market, mexican local corn market, which has been affected by the most valuable four international food enterprises and the largest seed company. Then this thesis gave a conclusion that the production environment, demand and supply status, imports and exports status should be included in the security evaluation system. Secondly this thesis analysed chinese local corn market and the status of multinational enterprises investment. Finally based on the local situation and international examples, the author structured the corn industrial evaluation system including industry living environment, industry international competitiveness, foreign-trade dependence and industry self-sufficiency four evaluation factors.Based on the date of1999to2010, this thesis evaluated the security status of chinese corn industry and concluded that the local market was basic safety. The multinational food enterprises did not make large effect to the industry. But compared with the productional environment, the foreign trade situation is not good.
