The Study On The Restrictive Factors Of The Development Of Economic Growth Potential In Northwest China

Since the implementation of the western development strategy for 20 years,the economic development of northwest China has made remarkable achievements,constantly achieving catch-up and surpassing,and gradually narrowing the regional development gap with the eastern coastal areas.However,for a long time,the extensive economic growth model,which is overly dependent on the development of energy resources and fixed asset investment,leads to unsustainable economic growth.The unbalanced and insufficient development of Northwest China makes it become the key and difficult point to win the building of a welloff society in an all-round way,and it is also one of the shortcomings of regional coordinated development.Under the background of promoting the formation of a new pattern in the large-scale development of the western region,the construction of the whole Silk Road economic belt,and the implementation of the strategy of regional coordinated development,and so on.Whether we can seize the development opportunity to enhance the comprehensive strength and regional competitiveness,and promote the high-quality economic development in a down-to-earth manner,it is necessary to explore and clarify the restrictive factors of the development of economic growth potential in Northwest China.The ideas and contents of this paper are: Based on combing and summarizing the literature,the theoretical framework of economic growth potential development is constructed.combined with the current situation of economic development in Northwest China,the influencing factors of economic growth potential development in Northwest China are investigated from many perspectives.Based on the panel data of five provinces in Northwest China from 2000 to 2017,the Lasso method is used to screen the important variables that affect the development of economic growth potential in Northwest China,and according to the selected variables,The FGLS method is used to investigate the restrictive factors of the development of economic growth potential in Northwest China.Based on the empirical results,combined with the actual situation of economic development in Northwest China,From the aspects of capital investment,human capital,innovation investment,industrial structure and so on,this paper puts forward the paths and policies to tap the economic growth potential of Northwest China in the future for the economic development of Northwest China.
