China has gradually entered the era of service economy. The productive service industry has taken on the responsibility of promoting economic development.China's manufacturing industry is not strong. On the one hand, due to the rising labor costs, the traditional processing business is forced to divert to emerging developing countries. On the other hand, due to the impact of smart technology, modern high-tech industries are in urgent need of rapid development.Under the background of the urgent improvement of quality and efficiency, transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry, the agglomeration of local producer services and the development of the field of productive services have provided a positive impact. Therefore,it is an inevitable choice for China to vigorously develop the agglomeration of productive service industry, and it is also of significance to study the impact of the agglomeration of productive service industry in large cities on manufacturing efficiency. From the research ideas, this paper builds the corresponding mechanism of action based on the existing literature, and puts forward the research hypothesis. Then, based on the panel data of 85 large cities in China, the empirical hypothesis of spatial measurement is used to study the hypothesis.Test and draw conclusions.Specifically, this paper firstly divides the producer service industry into a local production service industry concentration level and a foreign production service industry development level, and separately studies its impact on manufacturing efficiency, and finds that both have manufacturing efficiency.Significant positive impact. Then,a horizontal comparative study was conducted on the producer service industry that provided different types of services for the manufacturing industry. It was found that the results of the main explanatory variables were consistent with the results of the overall regression in the regression results, but there were some differences in the degree of significance and the coefficient. On the basis of completing the test of the robustness of the overall regression model, the reasons for the difference in impact are also demonstrated. Finally, from the perspective of the relative agglomeration level of the producer service industry, the cities are divided into two categories.Through comparative analysis,it is found that the impact of the development level of the field production service industry on the manufacturing efficiency is different in these two types of cities. The city with relatively high agglomeration level is significantly positive, but not in the relatively low agglomeration level, which proves the existence of the siphon effect.Based on the above research ideas and conclusions, this paper puts forward feasible policy recommendations: First, vigorously develop the producer service industry to gather locally and improve the efficiency of manufacturing;secondly, actively prevent the siphon effect from the outside and ease the loss of high-quality factor resources;Strengthen exchanges and cooperation with other cities, enhance the support of foreign productive service industries to the manufacturing industry;Fourth, strengthen the construction of infrastructure such as transportation and communications, and strengthen the effects of agglomeration and spillover effects. The possible innovations of this paper are as follows: Firstly, the local agglomeration level of the productive service industry in the big cities is studied to jointly influence the production efficiency of the manufacturing industry in the field;secondly, the siphon effect is studied. The impact mechanism is verified and its existence;thirdly, the production service industry is divided into three categories according to the types of services provided to the manufacturing industry, and the impact is horizontally compared. However, there are some shortcomings in this paper.First,This study only verify the existence of the siphon effect, but fail to find a suitable index to quantify, which can be used as the next discussion direction of this study.Second, there is a certain mechanism in the mechanism construction. The shortcomings, therefore, the variable indicator system used is not perfect, and many possible influencing factors are not included in the regression model, which needs to be further strengthened.
