Research On The Operation Efficiency And Influence Factors Of China's Listed Logistics Enterprises

With the rapid development of economic globalization and e-commerce,the development direction of Chinese logistics industry has gradually changed from traditional logistics to modern logistics,and has become the main development trend of logistics industry in today's society.Modern logistics industry,with its great integration,gathers the advantages of transportation,warehousing,handling,information and other industries,the coverage is wide,and provide a large number of employment opportunities for Chinese migrant workers.The development of modern logistics industry can promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure,and its degree of development has become one of the important standards to measure the comprehensive national strength.The scale of logistics industry is directly related to the growth rate of regional economy.In recent years,Chinese logistics industry has developed rapidly with the boost of domestic economic growth,but compared with the level of logistics development in developed countries,Chinse logistics industry is still in the transition period from development to maturity.As a representative of the logistics industry,listed logistics enterprises' operating efficiency can best reflect the operation status of the industry.This paper mainly uses data envelopment analysis method and DEA-Malmquist index model to make a static and dynamic analysis of the operating efficiency of 61 Chinese listed logistics enterprises from 2009 to 2016.Based on the results,the influencing factors behind are discussed in depth,so as to propose corresponding solutions.Firstly,according to the previous scholars' research on the efficiency of logistics enterprises and the characteristics of logistics enterprises,this paper constructs the evaluation index system of listed logistics enterprises in China.Secondly,through the traditional data envelopment model(CCR and BCC)and DEA-Malmquist index model,the technological efficiency,pure technological efficiency and scale efficiency,technological efficiency change index,pure technological efficiency change index,scale efficiency change index,technological progress index and total factor productivity index of sample data are taken the overall static and dynamic calculation,and the variation trend of each efficiency is further analyzed.The results show that the technological efficiency of Chinese listed logistics enterprises is mainly caused by the fluctuation of pure technological efficiency,and the change of total factor productivity is mainly determined by technological progress index.Then,based on the regional situation of logistics enterprises,this paper compares the static and dynamic efficiency evolution of logistics enterprises in different regions,and further discusses the reasons for the differences between regional efficiency.Finally,this paper uses panel data econometric model to estimate the overall and regional factors affecting the operating efficiency of Chinese listed logistics enterprises,and elaborates the results,and then puts forward the specific countermeasures and suggestions.
