Fan manufacturing industry is already in its mature stage,the competition between the competitors is very fierce.HDD Limited Company as well as most of its competitors,facing homogenization competition,fight price wars with each other.It is a crucial issue for every fan manufacturing company that find the right competitive strategy and strive for their own survival and development under such a fierce situation.Michael Porter once pointed that "Positioning first,and strategy then".Having made a strategic positioning,can the company know its advantages and disadvantages.According to he positioning,the company implements differentiated competitive policy by centralizing its limited resources and abilities to the particular markets and customers.By providing differentiated products and services with limited resources and capacities,for the particular markets and customers,the company will win developing space for itself.Firstly,this paper classifies and analyzes the theories of positioning domestic and overseas by using the method of literature investigation,coming up with the idea that the research of HDD Limited Company's positioning strategy shows a theoretical and practical significance.Secondly,this paper analyzes both the macro environment and competitive environment surround HDD Limited Company,by using PEST analysis and Potter's five-forces analysis.Thirdly,the paper also analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of the HDD Limited Company as well as its external opportunities and threats through the analysis of HDD Limited Company's inner strength and the use of SWOT analysis.This paper analyzes the way to choose and make the corporation's competitive strategy according to three dimensions,which are known as Market Positioning,Customer Positioning and Product Positioning,and choose Differentiated Competition as its Competitive Strategy.Then,the paper gives a brief overview of the implementation of Differentiated Strategy from the aspects of Price Differentiation,Product Performance Differentiation,Service Differentiation,Brand Differentiation.Finally,the paper states the focus of competitive strategy via improving the R&D abilities and marketing abilities,systemizing the production management and human resources management,and developing the corporation culture.This paper takes HDD Limited Company into research,it mainly analyzes the way for HDD Limited Company to choose and make a competitive strategy,and puts forward the views.The internal competition of fan manufacturing industry is becoming increasingly fierce,the homogeneous competition sharply decreases profits.Therefore,HDD Limited Company have to make a strategic positioning based on the current competitive position and the positioning on the market,customer and product.And according to the strategic positioning,optimize allocation of resources and enhance the R&D ability and manufacturing capacity,to implement the Differentiated Strategy.Thus,the product can create new profit growth through its differentiated features,which can ensure the long-term development of the company.The competitive strategy that based on the combination of the factors from external environment and internal capacity has pointed out the appropriated direction of further development for HDD Limited Company,and it also shows some enlightenment for the other similar manufacturing companies.
