Research On The Impact Of China's Independent Innovation On National Competitiveness

Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up,China's economic and trade contacts with other countries in the world have increased day by day,and became the second largest economy in the world while the competitiveness of the country has been greatly improved.However,the weak ability of independent innovation has just become a hindrance to further improvement of the competitiveness to the country.The contribution rate of science and technology in the development model of developed countries has reached 60% at present,but it is much lower than that in our country.Moreover,the core technology in many industries basically depends on imports,and the ability of independent innovation is seriously lacking.For quite a long time,under the influence of the idea of "market for technology",it is common to introduce large-scale technology and ignore primitive innovation as well as basic research.This mode of technology dependence and weakening of endogenous innovation ability is not conducive to the cultivation and development of China's independent innovation ability,therefore,only by improving the ability of independent innovation from the inside,can the national competitiveness be enhanced to provide support.Based on this,the paper introduces the shortcomings of our country in high-end core technology firstly.The backwardness of core technology will affect the competitiveness of large countries.The root of its lack is due to the lack of the ability of independent innovation,so the root of grasping the competitiveness is to grasp the independent innovation.Then it defines the meaning of independent innovation and national competitiveness,and combs the relevant theory and literature.Secondly,the relationship between independent innovation and national competitiveness is studied from the mechanism and historical experience.Through the analysis and research of the situation,it demonstrates the objective fact that China's national competitiveness is steadily increasing while its innovation ability is relatively weak.And analyzing the root factors of affecting promotion independent innovation in China are lower intensity of overall input,lack of attention to original innovation(basic research),and strong dependence on the introduction of technology(foreign direct investment).Thenext empirical part of the correlation analysis draws the conclusion that the correlation between factors of innovation and national competitiveness is 0.807,which is larger than the contrast group coefficient.It can be regarded as the core competitiveness of a country.It proves that the fundamental way to enhance national competitiveness is to enhance the ability of independent innovation.Based on the empirical study of provincial data from 2006 to 2016,it is found that knowledge accumulation and basic research investment have greater influence on technological achievements,while the way of FDI by attracting foreign capital and technology has a negative impact.This paper demonstrates the rationality and necessity of strengthening basic investment and treating foreign technology rationally with examples.According to the conclusion of the analysis,the author puts forward concrete and feasible policy suggestions at the end of this paper.
