In recent years,the state has paid more and more attention to the livelihood issues of farmers,and the issue of “agriculture,rural areas and farmers” is in a very important position in China.Since the reform and opening up,the multi-ownership economy has developed rapidly.The villages and towns have promoted each other and lived together.The construction of the country is of great significance to the development of the country.More and more scholars have also carried out research on the livelihood activities of farmers.The livelihood strategy of farmers is a very important key in the livelihood of farmers.The combination of production activities selected by farmers to achieve their livelihood goals or livelihood results is called the livelihood of farmers.Strategies,to a certain extent,different combinations of livelihood strategies can also lead to different livelihood outcomes for farmers.The type of farmer's livelihood strategy is different division of farmer's production activities.Studying the influencing factors of farmer's livelihood strategy is helpful to understand farmers' behavior and reduce rural poverty.This article uses the field survey data of two counties,7 towns,45 villages and 509 households in Hunchun County and Jianli County of Hubei Province.According to the proportion of different income types of farmers' households,the choice of farmers' livelihood strategies is divided into four types.: Pure agricultural type,non-agricultural type,agricultural type,non-agricultural type.Questionnaires,literature analysis methods,empirical research methods and other research methods were used to study the current situation of farmers' livelihoods and the factors affecting the choice of livelihood strategies based on sustainable livelihood theory and farmer behavior theory.The article is divided into five parts: The first part introduces the geographical location and regional conditions of the survey area,and introduces the economic development of the surveyed area from four aspects: agricultural development,industrial construction,financial trade,and people's living conditions;Part of it is the description and analysis of the characteristics of farmers' livelihood in the survey area.Firstly,it analyzes the basic characteristics of farmers' households and then studies the status quo of the five major aspects of farmers' livelihood capital.The third part first expounds the survey of the livelihood strategies of farmers in the survey area,and then analyzes the types of farmer's livelihood strategy choices.According to the classification basis and classification type,the livelihood characteristics of farmers under different livelihood strategies are analyzed.The fourth part uses Stata software to establish multiple logistic models for empirical analysis,introduces the selection basis of variables and the construction of the model,and obtains the measurement results.The influencing factors of farmers' livelihood strategy selection are analyzed.The last part is to summarize the main conclusions of the article and make relevant recommendations.The results show that the number of rural households has a significant positive impact on farmers' choice of agricultural-type livelihood strategies.The older the age,the more likely farmers are to choose a farming-type livelihood strategy,while the cultivated area,housing structure,and total household income are Choosing a part-time livelihood strategy has a significant negative impact.The greater the cultivated land area,the lower the possibility that farmers will choose a farming-type livelihood strategy.The cultivated land area has a significant negative impact on farmers' choice of non-agricultural livelihood strategies.The larger the cultivated land area,the lower the possibility that farmers choose non-agricultural livelihood strategies.It shows that these types of livelihood capital have certain help for farmers to engage in non-agricultural production activities,but it is not enough for farmers to completely get rid of their dependence on land.It is recommended that farmers optimize the combination of livelihood capital and increase the income of farmers;pay attention to basic cultural education,improve the level of health and health;increase the effective utilization of land and protect land resources.Relevant governments should encourage the diversified development of farmers' livelihood and actively provide employment information and protection.
