Competition within Customer Electronics industry has intensified as this market is getting saturated and constant release of new product which meet people's requirements will be the only way to keep a place in the market.As the process of New Product Introduction(NPI)is a typical project by definition,applying project management methods to it must be a reliable guarantee for quick new product completion with full of quality and quantity and risk management is one of the most important work in project management of course.Based on the theory of project risk management,this article introduced some typical management methods used by projects in other fields.Then by applying a practical project of Customer Electronics New Product Introduction as a case,firstly introduced the products' characters and the current process of NPI,indicated the challenges this project was faced with through SWOT analysis.Secondly accomplished risks identification by brainstorm of related experts,chose Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)for risk quantitative analysis method and classified them into High,Medium and Low risk categories.Thirdly elected one or more methods as responses to risks,even more we gave out detailed solutions to each risk.Finally in order to make sure real project risks situation could be tracked and updated in whole life period,risk-monitoring methods were executed through instanced risk response effectiveness assessment,failure cause analysis and emergency scheme plan.This research on risk management and the all methods used could offer references to other Consumer Electronics NPI project and possess certain practical significance.
