With the rapid development of the economic society, especially the development of the real estate and the automotive industry in recent years cause to demand for the aluminium increasing. The electrolytic aluminium industry of the country has achieved great development, but many problems still existing which excessive dependence on foreign markets for the aluminium oxide, technology and equipment is relatively backward, the product structure is not reasonable, industry dispersion, high of production cost and so on, these problems have seriously restricted the development of the industry. Face with above the existing problems, risk evaluation is necessary for it when investing in a business so that ensure success of the project investment.The risk evaluation index systems was established according to the characteristics of project of the electrolytic aluminium of the oriental hope company and adopt a scientific and reasonable risk identification approach based on systematic risk management system theory in this paper. An investment risk evaluation model was established basis on the grey system evaluation method and the analytic hierarchy process-the grey analytic hierarchy process, to resolve deficiency information and risk factors uncertainty of the project of the electrolytic aluminium. The grey analytic hierarchy process was applied to appraise of the investment risk of the project of the electrolytic aluminium, acquired comprehensive risk evaluation value of project. Result shows that it can apply to make a decision and risk response strategy provided reference for the investors.
