Study On Economic Development Of Inner Mongolia Border Port

The opening of inland borders is an important part of the country's opening-up strategy and one of the main ways for the country deepens its opening up and promotes regional development.Inland border ports serve as important channels and windows for the opening of inland borders.They are not only an important platform for cooperation and exchanges with neighboring countries,but also play an important role in the economic development of inland border areas.Therefore,with the advantage of border ports,it is an inevitable trend to promote economic development along the border areas and promote opening to the outside world.Located in the northern part of the China,Inner Mongolia is the frontier of the country's "opening to the north".And it is an important hub for the "Belt and Road" initiative and the "China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor" construction.The border ports of Inner Mongolia serve as an important channel and window for the country to open to the north.The continuous development and construction of the border ports provides an important platform for trade cooperation and cultural exchanges with Mongolia,Russia and European countries.And the development of border ports received great attention from the national and autonomous regions.Based on the relevant research at home and abroad,this study conducts acomprehensive systematic analysis and evaluation to the status and scale of the economic development of border ports in Inner Mongolia and finds: since the late1980 s,through 30 years' opening,development and construction,the ports have achieved year by year growth in cargo flow,passenger flow and trade value.However,the level and scale of economic development of each border ports are different.Except for the Ganqimaodu port,the development scales of the remaining border ports and the port towns and cities are in a state of mutual disharmony.Secondly,based on the interaction between the development of border ports and the port towns and cities,the empirical result of constructing panel vector auto regressive(PVAR)model to analysis the economic development influence of border ports in Inner Mongolia result shows: The border ports economy of Inner Mongolia has always had a positive effect on the development of the port towns and cities.Cargo flows of border ports has a significant promotion in the economic development of the border port towns and cities.Therefore,by strengthening the coordinated development of the ports and port towns and cities,promoting the port's role in the development of the port towns and cities is an inevitable course to promote the economic development of the border ports of Inner Mongolia.
