The Research On The Relationship Between New Urbanization And Social Capital In China Based On The PVAR Model

Since the reform was opening up,China has been in the largest and fastest urbanization process all over the world.Until now it has made a lot of gratifying achievements and an indelible contribution for the economic development fruits of urban and rural residents.But with the arrival of the new normal economic development,the new urbanization concept was subsequently raised.And the biggest difference between the new urbanization and the traditional urbanization is that the new urbanization is people-centered.However the social capital is the contact between people that exists in the structure of relationships,and it improves the degree of social integration through the cooperation between people in order to contribute to the advance of urbanization.Under the background,It's important to explore how the new urbanization and social capital affect each other for the promotion of the new urbanization?the high rationalization of the social capital and the sustainable development of economic coordination in China.This paper aims to study the interactive coordination between the new urbanization and social capital,and then proposes policy recommendations to guide new urbanization development.First,summarize the concepts and classification of the new urbanization and social capital,then re-define both of them combining with the current research status and China's national conditions;Secondly,based on the date from 2004 to 2013 of our country's 30 provinces,this paper builds a new comprehensive evaluation index system of urbanization and measures them through its principal component analysis,then based on it and use the PVAR models to analyze the interaction between the level of the new urbanization and the accumulation of social capital empirically,also construct the cooperative index to describe the development between the two;Finally,propose policy recommendations to further promote the coordinated development of both by the theoretical analysis and empirical research above.The main research and conclusions of this paper are:? Produce a new definition of social capital.It's divided into three dimensions of structure?relationship and cognition,making its level more specific and indicators easier to quantify.? Construct the comprehensive evaluation index system of the new urbanization and social capital,then clear the primary and secondary index,and measure their total score using the principal component analysis,at last build the PVAR model to do the empirical research;? At the time dimension,new urbanization and social capital are in the state level of continuous improving;at the spatial dimension,both express the significant regional differences.? It exists a significant and stable role in promoting mutual between the new urbanization and social capital accumulation in the long-term;the new urbanization construction promote the accumulation of social capital in many ways,and the accumulation of social capital also has a driving action in the development of new urbanization construction,though its efforts are not strong.? The level of synergy between the two will directly affect the interaction between them,thus affect the construction of new urbanization and accumulation of social capital.So our poor areas of the synergies between the new urbanization and social capital synergies should absorb and refer the behavior of the well-synergies region.In addition we should take the building of new urbanization into account while optimizing the social capital,and not forget to adjust the rationality of the social capital accumulation while promoting the construction of the new urbanization,in this way can only the positive interaction of both be formed.
