The world is scrambling now that China is refusing to be a trash dumping ground. For years,China was the largest importer of wastes, but the situation is now changing after Beijing decided to ban 24 types of scraps from penetrating its borders beginning next January. This decision was hailed as a big move in favour of global efforts by environmentalists.Indeed, this strong resolution will not only clean up China but also pressure countries to better manage their personal trash.Waste exporters such as U.S,Japan or Europe are seriously shivering and are thinking for an alternative to China.Several angles have been approached such as a tax on plastics usage,a diversion some of its trash to Southeast Asia or a request to China to lift its ban. However, none of those suggestions are long term solutions to the new world waste management context that we are entering. The methodology is based on plastic waste environment compar ison of Germany and U.S via the PESTEL analysis. Also, the global context of plastic wastes will raise some interrogation according to this analysis.Indeed,Germany is shown as a bright example of being the champion of recycling and as a clean country,wh ile U.S is known as a typical instance of one of the biggest polluting nation in the world. These two countries have been chosen for the comparison because both are developed countries and development factors can't be taken as an obstacle.Studies have concluded Germany and U.S are currently applying several strategies in order to manage plastic waste but also to create an ecosystem of diverse incomes, such as: force labour, international sales, foreign investment, etc.Plastic industry for both nations is a source of revenue but figures prove that they have the same rate of plastic wastes exportation. In other words, none of both countries' plastic wastes management is effective. This paper focuses on identifying sources and seeking solutions to plastic w aste mismanagement creating value. The study proposes some alternative strategy opportunities of plastic wastes management based on data of Germany and U.S.This research aims to conduct and suggest the interest of 3 bodies to move toward sustainable development. They are: the government, business and final users. Finally, impediments to success are discussed and sectors are described where investments can be made to significantly reduce this growing global problem and at the same time create a competitive advantage. The paper will demonstrate that being sustainable is not an obstacle for business opportunities worldwide, and all the advantages that it embraces in one ecosystem.
