With the rapid development of economic globalization,companies do business with other countries of worldwide frequently.It becomes very important for companies to raise their competitiveness right away.Even with fast improvement and popularization of technique,raw material cost obtains greater and greater rate within a high technology companies.As a typical example,F company raw material cost accounts for 43.7% in total cost.Therefore,success of the company is defined by whether they have successful supplier management strategy or not to some extent.F company is a public limited company at NASDAQ who is a global technology leader in optical communications.Their world-class products enable high-speed voice,video and data communications for networking,storage,wireless,and cable TV applications such as Cisco and Hua Wei as the most important customers.However in recent years,appeared many domestic enterprises that can provide basic requirements to meet customer products,and is superior to F prices.As key enterprise of supply chain department,to lower the price of raw materials and shorten the lead time is an important part to enhance the competitiveness of the products of the company directly.This paper expatiates the F in global procurement mode of the present situation of the supplier management.Comparing with the same industry competitors,find out F the existing raw materials two key problems,long lead time and high purchase price.And through the research related to the two problems of interior and exterior factors that the product itself and the influence of related personnel and corresponding management methods,sums up the main cause of the two big problems: complicated design,misleading with bullwhip effect due to inaccurate forecast,lacking of better second source,unreasonable setting of safety stock and VMI.For each specific reason,in combination with the practical situation of F give four action plans,scheme with the four steps of the step by step,and expected improvement.Papers at the end of vision of the future are put forward.Reduce the purchase price and shorten the lead time is to realize the enterprise the most direct manifestation of efficient supplier management.Effective supplier management can make the enterprise in the fierce competition,more advantages,are highly efficient enterprise core competitiveness.
