With the rapid development of the global garment industry, how to improve the adaptability to changing market under the competitive environment of globalization and consumer demand diversity is an inevitable reality that all apparel companies will have to face. As a traditional industry, garment industry is very seasonal and sensitive to demand change. From yarn production to garment sale through to final consumer, it’s a long and complex supply chain, how to find a fast responsive strategy to the market change becomes an urgent problem to be solved.Based on the fast responsive supply chain management model and summary of related theory both domestic and abroad, this paper analyzed the current supply chain management of K company, and then pointed out the problems exist, which are:poor on-time delivery rate, high stock-out rate of best-selling items with late replenishment.Through in-depth analysis, this paper revealed the root cause of K Company’s supply chain problems in three ways:the product development analysis method, supplier selection and evaluation system, and the adjustment of lead time. Then related solutions were provided for K Company’s supply chain management improvement through the adoption of theoretical tools.The viewpoints in this paper can be a useful reference to similar garment companies.
