Cities are places where industries are highly concentrated,technological innovation is the main driving force for urban development,and green development is the basic requirement for development in the new era.As the most industrialized economic agglomeration in China,the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration(YRDUA)is also faced with serious problems of ecological damage and environmental pollution in the process of high-intensity development.Improving the efficiency of green industrial development is the inherent demand for the urban agglomeration to achieve higher quality and integrated development.In this context,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the relationship between industrial agglomeration,technological innovation and the efficiency of urban green industrial development and its mechanism of action.Based on relevant theories of human economic geography and relevant domestic research results,this paper USES panel data of 26 prefecture-level and above cities in the Yangtze river delta urban agglomeration from 2006 to 2016 for a systematic study.Firstly,the agglomeration degree of manufacturing industry,technological innovation index and industrial green development efficiency of each city are measured and analyzed.Secondly,Stata13.1 software was used to further clarify the relationship between industrial agglomeration,technological innovation and industrial green development efficiency with manufacturing as the entry point,and Arcgis,Geoda and other software were used for visual analysis to explore its spatial correlation characteristics.The research findings are as follows: 1)during the study period,the level of manufacturing agglomeration in YRDUA was significantly unbalanced in space,showing a core-edge pattern with Suzhou and Jiaxing as the core and gradually decreasing to the periphery;2)the technological innovation of YRDUA is mainly distributed in a few cities,and the gap between cities in industrial technological innovation ability is wide;3)the stage fluctuation of the improvement of industrial green development efficiency in YRDUA is significant,but the overall trend is upward;4)most cities are at the forefront of efficiency,and the efficiency of green industrial development is relatively high,but the level varies greatly among cities;5)the spatial correlation of industrial green development among cities in YRDUA began to show a negative correlation after 2011;6)manufacturing agglomeration has the effect of "restraining first and then improving" on industrial green development,and there is a "u-shaped" relationship between the two.Technological innovation ability has a significant positive effect on promoting industrial green development,and manufacturing agglomeration can indirectly promote the improvement of industrial green development efficiency through technological innovation,an "intermediate variable".Based on the above research findings,this paper believes that,from the perspective of innovation-driven,green development to promote the development of higher quality integration of the Yangtze river delta needs to take the corresponding countermeasures and measures,namely to strengthen cooperation and communication,adhere to the integration of green development;We will handle industrial agglomeration and density problems;Strengthening innovation-driven mechanism and improving green innovation capability;Give full play to the role of environmental regulation;We will further reform and optimize the structure of property rights in the process of urban economic development.
