In recent years,the phenomenon of corporate social irresponsibility has already become a widespread issue in society.In this context,the response of stakeholders will strongly influence the value of the enterprise.And with the development of information and network rapid,it is possible that corporate social irresponsibility becomes the focus of the public,so this phenomenon deserves further investigation.Based on this,this paper took the process of public response to corporate social irresponsibility as the core content.And the main issues that this paper try to resolve are as the following:(1)How the corporate social irresponsibility raise the attention of the public?(2)How the public would cognition of corporate social irresponsibility?(3)How the public's cognition influence the public attitude and what is the mechanism through the evaluation process?Based on netnography and grounded theory,the paper obtains public comments through the ways of network data collection,and combined with open coding,axial coding,selective coding.Finally we acquired 25 secondary categories,9 main categories and 3 core categories.On this basis,the paper constructs the theoretical model to explore the process of public response to corporate social irresponsibility and the path relationship among different categories.The results indicate that the process of public response to corporate social irresponsibility including three stages which is public's attention,public's cognition and public's evaluation.To be specific,the characteristics of the enterprise,visibility of CSIR behavior,severity of CSIR behavior and rarity of CSIR behavior constitutes the core elements of public' attention to corporate social irresponsibility.Then,based on the collection and dissemination of information,the public start to analyzes the imputation of responsibility of corporate social irresponsibility,And that ought to result in public's cognition.Finally,the public will evaluate the behavior of the enterprise through the public's cognition to corporate social irresponsibility and to inherent image of corporate social responsibility.This is all the process of public response to corporate social irresponsibility.
