With the full implementation of the “Ecological Homeland Enrichment Program”and the gradual achievement of the work of returning farmland to forests in Wuwei City,the traditional livestock production methods are far from meeting the current needs of the people of Wuwei City,and also with the modern animal husbandry industry.The requirements of development run counter to each other.How to effectively promote the comprehensive and sustainable development of animal husbandry and agriculture in Wuwei has become an urgent problem to be solved.The development and evolution of animal husbandry and agriculture in the northwest and the intrinsic connection between them have always been an important part of the historical development of ancient Chinese society.It is not only a better understanding but also a more in-depth study and exploration.The specific process and influencing factors of the development of agricultural economy in ancient China also have important practical significance for us to better grasp the current opportunities and promote the development of animal husbandry in Wuwei City.This paper deeply studies the development of agriculture and animal husbandry in Wuwei City from the perspective of the evolution of grassland culture to farming culture.The paper summarizes and compares the development data of animal husbandry and agricultural structure adjustment in Wuwei City by literature induction and comparative analysis.From the aspects of land resources,ecological environment and economic development,this paper analyzes the status quo and characteristics of animal husbandry and agriculture in Wuwei City,analyzes the existing problems and dilemmas,and puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions for the sustainable development of animal husbandry and agriculture in Wuwei City.The main findingsare as follows:1.The main problems in the development of animal husbandry in Wuwei City include serious grassland degradation,restricting the development of animal husbandry in pastoral areas;agricultural production lags behind,difficulty in feed development and promotion;slow improvement of livestock variety,restricting animal husbandry production efficiency;animal husbandry infrastructure construction is backward,The production mode is backward,the technical service system is weak,the animal husbandry processing industry is underdeveloped,and the circulation system is backward.However,the grassland resources in Wuwei City are abundant,and a large number of barren hills and slopes provide a favorable external environment for the large-scale development of the animal husbandry industry.The main countermeasures for promoting the sustainable development of animal husbandry in Wuwei City include strengthening grassland construction and grassland ecological environment protection,and steadily developing grassland animal husbandry;making full use of resources such as non-agricultural land and crop straw,and vigorously developing animal husbandry in agricultural areas;strengthening animal husbandry Infrastructure construction,adjustment and transformation of feeding methods;speed up the promotion of improved livestock and poultry;establish and improve the socialization service system for animal husbandry,such as technology promotion and disease prevention;accelerate the construction of market service system,support the development of leading enterprises;adhere to standardized production and ensure product quality.2.The main problems in the agricultural development of Wuwei City include the relative shortage of water resources;the ecological environment is poor;the cultural quality of farmers is low;the scale of production and management is small;the concept of production and management is outdated;the market information is not working;However,Wuwei City has a vast territory,strong terrain and rich resources,and has received diversified support in agriculture.Among them,the contribution rate of the agricultural industry is as high as 6.83%,which greatly promotes the development of the local economy.The main countermeasures for promoting the sustainable development of animal husbandry in Wuwei City are to take various measures to solve the problem of water shortage in agriculture in Wuwei area;to implement a moderate-scale resettlement project;to establish and improve agricultural science and technology service and promotion system;to change the concept ofagricultural management and operational prevention,component production base,develop regional economy;increase capital investment in agricultural development in Wuwei area.
