The green supply chain has become a very crucial concept in supply chain management.It is not a secret that the use of "green" technologies as well as new business models enables producers,intermediaries and consumers to obtain economic benefits from business activities while ensuring solutions to global environmental problems.Green supply chain management can be a way to achieve competitive advantage while enhancing the environmental sustainability of the firm.The overall purpose of this dissertation is to contribute to the discussion on green supply chain management practices from the perspective of their motivators and implications.It was decided to investigate the use of green technologies by Russian companies in the field of brewing as they are first who began to show interest in green supply chain management in Russia.Moreover,the sustainable development annual reports allowed to trace the progress made by these companies and to identify key motivational factors.The research takes a survey-based quantitative approach and case study strategy.
