The proposal of the"one belt and one way"initiative has had a tremendous impact on the international trade market in China and the world. It has effectively promoted the implementation of major projects such as infrastru:cture construction and capacity cooperation, and provided basic guarantee for the common development of all countries in the future, such as capital, people, security and law.Investment and trade liberalization and facilitation have been significantly enhanced.China's wood-based panel industry has always been a strong industry in wood processing and manufacturing industry, but compared with the wood-based panel products in developed countries, there is still a big gap.Especially in the face of green trade barriers such as forest products trade policies and bills in developed countries, the comparative advantage of China's wood-based panel products is becoming weaker and weaker. The"one belt and one way"initiative not only provides a broader international trade market for China's wood-based panel industry, but also provides more opportunities for production cooperation with all countries along the line, which greatly promotes the improvement of China's wood-based panel production technology. Therefore, the analysis and discussion of the comparative advantages of China's wood-based panel industry in the"one belt and one way"countries will be of great practical significance for China's wood-based panel industry to expand the international trade market and strengthen the productivity cooperation with the countries along the route. This paper first obtains the data of import and export trade of wood-based panel industry in the"one belt and one road"countries in 2000 through-2016 UN COMTRADE database. The data of the import and export trade of wood-based panels in the countries along the belt and road in 2016 were analyzed.First, due to the scarcity of forest resources,wood-based panel products are imported more and exported less, which is a common feature of Western Asian countries.Secondly, developed economy and relatively good industrial base are the necessary conditions for countries in Central and Eastern Europe to import and export wood-based panel products in a relatively balanced manner.Thirdly, compared with other regions, some countries in CIS and Central Asia have absolute quantitative advantages in wood-based panel production and trade.Fourthly, the relatively backward level of economic development and the weak industrial base make the forest resources and labor resources in South and Southeast Asia unable to be effectively utilized, and to some extent limit the development of wood-based panel industry. In addition,we screened some countries with contrasting"one belt and one road"and eliminated some countries with low trade volume in wood-based panel industry and countries with less wood-based panel production,so as to lay the foundation for further comparative advantage research.Using the Regional Display Comparative Advantage Index(RRCA)to calculate the import trade data of China and the countries along the UN COMTRADE database from 2000 to 2016.Further analysis is made on the size and variation of the regional comparative advantage index of China's wood-based panel industry and the three most important plates in the"one belt and one road"area. The comparative advantages of China's wood-based panel industry are mainly embodied in the countries of West Asia,South Asia and Southeast Asia. The comparative advantages of China's wood-based panel industry are gradually shrinking in the CIS and parts of Central Asia, while the economic development level of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe is relatively high. They have higher requirements both in terms of product quality and product differentiation. The comparative advantages of China's wood-based panel industry are mainly embodied in the countries of West Asia,South Asia and Southeast Asia. The comparative advantages of China's higher requirements both in terms of product quality, and product differentiation. Therefore, the comparative advantage of China's wood-based panel industry in Central and Eastern European countries is not obvious. Finally, the panel data model is used to empirically analyze the factors that affect the comparative advantage of China's wood-based panel industry along the"one belt and one road"area, and identify the key factors that affect the Chinese wood-based,panel industry's market in the"one belt and one road"market.Based on the comparative advantages of China's wood-b,ased panel industry in the"one belt and one road"countries, the following conclusions are drawn:First, the production and trade imbalance of the wood-based panel industry is the basic situation of all countries along the belt and road.Second, whether imported or exported, the preferences for wood-based panels of countries along the line are quite different.Third,in the countries along the belt and road,China's wood-based panel industry generally has comparative advantages.Fourthly, the comparative advantage of China's wood-based panel industry in the countries along the line can be reflected not only because China has a superior factor conditions in one respect, but also because of the organic unity of various factors, which makes China's wood-based panel industry have a certain comparative advantage in the markets of various countries. The innovation of this paper lies in the following two points:First of all, with the background of"one belt and one road" initiative, the comparative advantage of China's wood-based panel industry in the countries along the line has not only enriched the research contents under the background of the initiative, but also made a useful supplementto the research scope of China's wood-based panel industry.Secondly, using regional displaying comparative advantage index to measure and compare the comparative advantage of China's wood based panel industry in the countries along the line,it can be more clear whether China's wood-based panel industry has advantages in any country along the line, wich not only enriches the application scope of industry international competitiveness evaluation index, but also solves, the problem of traditional index in the research of industry international competitiveness.Facing the problem of inaccuracy and lack of pertinence.
