The Analysis On Competitiveness And Complimentary In Service Trade Of Brics Countries

With the globalization of the world economy,the deep development of international trade,the world economy is continuously integrated,the economic and technological cooperation is frequent,the elements participate in the distribution and flow of the global scope.With the rapid development of service industry and service trade,the proportion of service trade in the world economy and other countries' trade is rising from 1980 s.Service trade becomes the commanding point of the world economic development and the focal point of economic competition under the new situation.The BRICS countries,including China,Russia,Brazil,India and South Africa,are vast and populous,accounting for 26 percent of the world's territory and 42 percent of the world's population.After a decade of development,BRICS has reached from 12 percent to 23 percent in economy,being a leading role in world.However,we also can see the shortcomings and difficulties of BRICS trade in services.Compared with the developed countries,the BRICS countries still have a certain gap in the development of trade in services.Therefore,it is necessary to make a comprehensive analysis of the competitiveness and complementarity of BRICS trade in services,find out the influencing factors,and give some suggestions for the effective development of China's service trade.In this paper,the theoretical support for the study of trade in services is first pursued,the index system to measure the competitiveness and complementarity of trade in services is selected.Then it analyzes the current situation and characteristics of BRICS trade in services,on the basis of this,uses qualitative and quantitative analysis methods to analyze the service trade among BRICS countries and industries.Next step,using IMS index,TC index and RCA index to measure and analyze the competitiveness of BRICS service trade from the whole and the industry angle,to determine the competition degree of each service industry.Using TCI index to measure and analyze the complementary situation of service trade among BRICS countries.Finally it draws a conclusion and puts forward some suggestions for better development of service trade in BRICS by integrating theory with practice.
