A Comparative Study On The Economic Competitiveness Of Counties In Northeast Chongqing

Since Chongqing became a municipality directly under the jurisdiction of the People's Republic of China,it has grown rapidly and its GDP growth rate has been leading the country in various provinces and cities all year round.However,the economic development in the Chongqing area is not balanced,and the gap between the main urban area and the surrounding areas is very large.Especially in the vast northeastern Chongqing region,the economic disparity between various districts and counties is particularly evident.In 2016,the GDP of Northeast Chongqing achieved a growth rate of 11.54%,reaching 286.856 billion yuan,accounting for 16.34% of the city's total,and an actual growth of 14.8% at constant prices.The area of northeastern Chongqing covers an area of 34,000 square kilometers,accounting for 41.3% of the city's total area.That is,41.3% of the land produced only 16.34% of the total economic volume.It can be seen that the proportion of total economic output in northeastern Chongqing is low,and development has lagged behind.Therefore,the research on the economic competitiveness of the northeastern Chongqing has a strong practical significance and practical value.Under the background of economic development and economic competitiveness in northeastern Chongqing,this paper adopts systematic analysis method,factor analysis method,comparative analysis method method to analyze the economic data of each county in northeastern Chongqing.In order to accurately assess the economic competitiveness of various counties in the northeastern region.Specifically,combined with the contribution rate of the main factor analysis,and then a comprehensive evaluation of the five types of evaluation factors,it can be seen that Wanzhou District has the highest comprehensive score,followed by Kaizhou district and Yunyang County,Fengjie County,Liangping,Dianjiang the comprehensive scores of Zhongxian County are relatively close,followed by Fengdu,Wushan and Wuxi,and the worst is Chengkou County.At the same time,through analysis,it has been found that the main problems faced by the economic development in northeastern Chongqing include the relative lag of new urbanization,prominent industrial structure problems,small industrial scale,poor efficiency,arduous task of helping the poor,low residents' income,and relatively slow economic growth.Based on this,the paper gives recommendations including: promoting population and small towns,building distinctive villages and towns;optimizing industrial structure,coordinating regional interaction;industrial scale development,expanding port and aviation industry;increasing poverty alleviation in northeastern Chongqing to develop and promote poverty reduction for immigrants;to build an axis of agricultural economic development and increase farmers' income.
