In recent years, the potato planting area in China is increasing. The planting area and output respectively accounts for a quarter of the world, and potato has become the fifth largest food crops in our country which has become the largest country in the world for potato production. Under the new situation to speed up the development of modern agriculture and promote the new rural construction of socialism, speeding up the development of potato production is vitally significant for safeguarding China’s food and food security, promoting the adjustment of agricultural structure and promoting the sustained increase in rural incomes. As for the Inner Mongolia autonomous region and Wuchuan County, the potato production are almost still in the state of the small-scale production. Farmers are farming separately with scared land, and they are isolated to the market. With the lack of effective organization, it is difficult for to form the scale of production. Most potato farmers have no specified contracts andcommon interests with the processing enterprises and professional markets. Without forming the industry chain, productions and sales link loosely:kind of potato and quality standard of raw material production is difficult to control and there is no specific acquisition of quality standards on varieties and the corresponding price system. Mixing production, mixing store and mixing sale are difficult to meet the requirements of processing enterprises. These problems not only affect the enthusiasm of the producers to process varieties, but also the processing enterprises can not get enough qualified raw material, which hindering the development of potato industry. Although we want to promote the development of potato industry in Wuchuan County at present, we still have a lot to study in every link of the potato production and the cost and benefit analysis aspect. Farmers’professional cooperative is a very effective way to enable farmers to get rich. Farmers are the main body in Farmers’professional cooperatives. The will of the farmers to participate in the farmers’ professional cooperatives directly affects and restricts the development of the farmers’professional cooperatives of our country and our region; directly affects whether the farmers can live a better life through participating in such economic cooperation organization, whether they will be involved in the farmers’professional cooperatives actively and whether they can obtain real returns. Based on the analysis of the economic benefits of the potato production in Wuchuan County, this thesis makes an analysis by comparing the production costs, expenses and net benefits among the potato cooperative of the base of Longxingquan in Wuchuan County, the statistics provided by farming and animal husbandry bureau and the bureau of statistics of Wuchuan County andthe fieldwork of the potato-planting farmers in Wuchuan County to develop the thinking of potato-planting farmers’production and put forward the necessity to participate in the potato professionalcooperatives to encourage potato farmers to participate in professional cooperatives actively. In this way, we can increase the potato farmers’income and lead them to get rich.
