Abstract/Summary:
The global warming caused by extreme weather,increasingly strict environmental regulations from the government,and increased consumer awareness of energy conservation and carbon reduction have forced enterprises to coordinate and increase synergies throughout the closed-loop supply chains(CLSC).Enterprises can not only win the green environmental reputation but also reduce production costs,improving market competitiveness through recycling and remanufacturing.Research on pricing and coordination mechanism design has important significance on the selection of recycling methods and revenue distribution.Firstly,we summarized the collecting and recycling situation of waste electrical and electronic equipment,review of research and theory about CLSC.Our model mainly considered a CLSC in which the manufacturer is dominant and the retailer distributes products,first collecting and recycling wasted products,and then distributing.In chapter 3,we established the pricing model of the centralized decision and three typical collecting methods(manufacturer collecting,retailer collecting,third-party logistics collecting)under the decentralized decision.We found the same wholesale price and retail price in different collecting methods,and the recycling price and transferring price depend on the respective marginal recycling costs of the recyclers.When respective marginal recycling cost is equal,manufacturer collecting mode will gain highly recycling price and quantity,resulting in more profits.What’s more,we carried out the revenue and cost-sharing contract in the retailer collecting model,i.e.,manufacturers share retailer’s recycling prices and revenue.CLSC optimal decisions and channel profits under three channel strategies(Centralized model,Decentralized model,and Contractual model)are compared and observed.It is concluded that the centralized system is more optimized in terms of recycling price or the retail price.Both the sales of products and the recycling quality of used products are increased,and the CLSC performance is improved.In addition,the sensitivity analysis of manufacturing cost,sensitivity coefficient of the recycling price and retail price elasticity is researched.It is found that the proportion of recycling effects has limited effect on CLSC profits,and market demand is the key.That is,the manufacturer should pay more attention to reducing manufacturing cost.What’s more,the more consumers understand the recycling price information provided by the recycling market,the higher the sensitivity of customers to the recycling price,the more retailers need to pay more recycling price to collect used products from customers;The higher the degree,the greater the difference in the amount of recycling between the strategies.Lastly,relevant conclusions are clarified through the examples and numerical calculations by Canon’s toner cartridge case in Chapters 3 and 4,and the practical significance of CLSC management is obtained.
