At present,Chinese enterprises are in the critical period of transformation and upgrading.With the continuous upgrading of consumption and the increasingly complex market environment,the traditionalSMEs(small and medium-sized enterprises)tend to choose the entrepreneurial-oriented strategy.However,due to their"small and weak" featuresand lack of resources,most SMEs are often difficult to break out the resource constraints.Therefore,intoday's E-commerceenvironment,how can entrepreneurship-oriented SMEs achieve growth and development by using resource at hand?Does E-commerce capability(expressed by the E-commerce intensity)play a regulatory role during this process?These are all critical problems that need to be solved in the process of transformation,upgrading and innovation of traditional SMEs(manufacturing and service Enterprises).Based on resource bricolage theory and case studies of Zhongjiao Yingchao and Soton Drinking Straws,weconstruct a research model about the impact of entrepreneurship orientation and resource bricolage on enterprise performance with E-commerce intensity as a moderator.The research assumptions are validatedby questionnaire survey and a confirmatory case study which based on Three Squirrels.The results show that resource bricolage plays a significant mediating role between entrepreneurship orientation and business performance of SMEs.Entrepreneurship-oriented enterprises always try to break through resource constraints and are sensitive to new things,making them adoptresource bricolage to integrate resources at hand in an innovative way.Compared with the traditional way of resource acquisition,this form of resource bricolage has lower cost and more timeliness,which helps enterprises achieve rapid growth.E-commerce intensity plays a positive adjustment betweenentrepreneurshiporientation and resource bricolage.In the case of higher E-commerce intensity,SMEs have more creative thinkingandare more initiativein exploit market opportunitiesand bear risks,thus achieving more frequent and abundant resource bricolage activities and better business performance.
