| With the advancement of China's strategy of mass entrepreneurship and innovation,more and more people have joined the entrepreneurial work.This strategy has opened up a vast employment space for China's abundant human resources,especially young people,and provided a platform for display of talents.New and small enterprises have gradually become active in the market.In the study of management,new venture have also become the research objects of scholars,and entrepreneurs as the main body of new ventures are also received much attention.However,from a practical point of view,there are many successful entrepreneurs,and there are not a few people who are quit.For start-ups,one of the first problems that entrepreneurs need to solve is the acquisition and utilization of resources.Newly created small and micro enterprises often face the shortage of resources,which requires entrepreneurs to take appropriate actions to solve resource dilemmas.In the context of complex changes in the environment and rapid market development,the pursuit of perfect resources and waiting for opportunities is not conducive to the development of new small and micro enterprises.It will make use of the resources at hand and carry out innovative creation to make the newly-created small and micro enterprises get rid of the resource dilemma,and then seize the advantages and stand out in the turbulent environment.Therefore,resource bricolage is particularly important in the initial stage of the enterprise,but not all entrepreneurs will choose resource bricolage.So there are two questions worth pondering: What kind of entrepreneurs will take resource bricolage? What is the internal mechanism for improving entrepreneurial performance?This study has carried out two studies based on the above two issues.In sub-study 1,considering the deficiencies in the research on entrepreneurs' traits in the past,this part uses the semi-structured interview method to conduct exploratory research from the perspective of resource bricolage behavior,and further improve and clarify the key characteristics of entrepreneurs.Under the premise of limiting the establishment time and scale of the company,this study interviews the founders,co-founders and principals of the initial establishment of 22 start-ups.At the same time,this part analyzes and verifies the content of interviews,and constructs four dimensions of entrepreneurial characteristics of small and micro enterprises,including innovation,survival drive,entrepreneurial passion and sense of responsibility,and clarifies the connotation of different traits.In sub-study 2,based on the results of sub-study 1,this part is based on the personality traits and related theories,follows the logic of “trait-behavior-results”,and considers the factors of entrepreneurial environment,constructs the research theory model and proposes relevant hypotheses to explore the influence mechanism of entrepreneurs' different traits on entrepreneurial performance,as well as the mediating role of resource bricolage and the regulatory effect of environmental turbulence.The study designed,distributed and collected the questionnaires,and used SPSS 24.0 and Amos 24.0 to test the data quality and hypothesis of 326 samples on the basis of pre-survey.This study builds four entrepreneurial traits based on resource bricolage behavior and verifies the impact of different entrepreneurial traits on entrepreneurial performance through resource bricolage by a combination of interviews and questionnaire.The study finally came to the following conclusions:Firstly,small and micro enterprise entrepreneurs who take resource bricolage tend to have four characteristics: innovation,survival drive,entrepreneurial passion and responsibility.Secondly,the three dimensions of entrepreneurial traits,innovation,survival drive and entrepreneurial passion have a direct positive impact on entrepreneurial performance,while the sense of responsibility has no significant impact on entrepreneurial performance.Thirdly,the four dimensions of entrepreneurial traits have a significant positive impact on resource bricolage,and resource bricolage plays a mediating role between the four dimensions of entrepreneurial traits and entrepreneurial performance.Fourthly,environmental turbulence plays a positive role in the relationship between resource bricolage and entrepreneurial performance.This study further clarifies the key characteristics of small and micro enterprise entrepreneurs,and verifies the role of resources in the relationship between entrepreneurial traits and entrepreneurial performance,and provides some theoretical support for subsequent research.At the same time,this study also proposes inspiration from a practical perspective:?Entrepreneur traits will affect entrepreneurial outcomes to some extent,such as innovation,survival drive and entrepreneurial passion.Before starting a business,entrepreneurs should understand the qualities they have in order to make better decisions;?Resource bricolage is one of the effective ways to solve the entrepreneurial dilemma.Entrepreneurs can take advantage of the resources at hand,act immediately and creatively,to seize opportunities,get rid of resources and achieve rapid growth;entrepreneurs need to enhance their perception of the external environment.In the case of rapid changes in the external environment of the industry and high unpredictability,enterprises want to improve their performance,and they can take resources to patch up the behavior and seize the opportunity to produce unexpected results.Finally,we discuss the shortcomings and future prospects of this study. |
