Today, when people are increasingly pursuing individual value, career transition has become a normal state.Individuals gain material or spiritual advancement and satisfaction through career change. At the same time, with the rise of the"entrepreneurship and innovation" trend, many individuals regard self-employment as a new career choice.A special group has emerged:individuals who have moved from employment to entrepreneurship. Most of the existing studies on career transition and entrepreneurship fail to distinguish between employment and entrepreneurship, and there is a relative lack of theoretical research on these individuals who have turned from employed to entrepreneurs. In this study, the question we are concerned about is,if individual changes from an employee to an entrepreneur, what is their decision-making mechanism and judgment strategy? What's special about it?We did a series of studies on this. For the decision-making of career changers,we focus on the main driving factors,decision-making situation,decision-making process and decision-making effect. In this study, the driving factor is entrepreneurial opportunity recognition;Decision situation is the interaction between career plateau and entrepreneurial opportunity recognition. In terms of the decision-making process,we measured the influence of different focusing types on the decision-making process. We select the concept of career efficacy to represent the effect of entrepreneurial transformation decision. In the fourth part of this paper,we adopt the method of semi-structured interview, aiming to clarify the influencing factors of entrepreneurial career transition decision, and verify the conception of the theoretical model of entrepreneurial career transition. The interview basically verified the logicality and rationality of the theoretical model, and confirmed the possibility of studying entrepreneurial decision-making from the perspective of career transition.Case studies show that entrepreneurial career changers are often driven by viable entrepreneurial opportunities before making entrepreneurial transition decisions. Those individuals who are at the career plateau at the same time are more likely to make entrepreneurial transition decisions. The self-perception of career decision making plays a certain role in the decision-making process. In the fifth part of this paper,we adopt the method of experimental research to further clarify the decision-making mechanism of entrepreneurial transformation from the perspective of career transformation from the dynamic perspective of decision-making.The research shows that entrepreneurial opportunity has significant main effect on individual entrepreneurial decision,so it can be reasonably concluded that high-quality entrepreneurial opportunity will promote individual entrepreneurial transition decision. At the same time, the study also found that career plateau also has a significant impact on entrepreneurial decision-making:individuals in higher career plateau are more likely to choose entrepreneurial conversion. In addition, the interaction between entrepreneurial opportunities and career plateau exists.Compared with other situations, individuals are most likely to make entrepreneurial transformation in the context of high entrepreneurial opportunities and career plateau. In the sixth part of the paper,we conducted a questionnaire survey.By constructing a structured scale and conducting a quantitative analysis of research concepts, this paper explores the mechanism of entrepreneurial opportunity in entrepreneurial decision-making from a quantitative perspective, further verifies the conclusions of the conception of confirmatory interview and experimental research, and finally verifies, revises and improves the research model of this paper. On the basis of 139 valid questionnaires,we conducted factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis. The following conclusions are obtained:(1)the two-dimensional model of entrepreneurial opportunity recognition, the three-factor model of career plateau, the five-dimensional model of career efficacy and the two types of adjustment focus are verified, indicating that the scale above has good reliability and validity in the study of entrepreneurial transformation decision.(2)there is a significant positive linear relationship between entrepreneurial opportunity recognition and its sub-dimensions and entrepreneurial decision-making.(3)the interaction between career plateau and entrepreneurial opportunity identification has been partially verified. The interaction between the feasibility identification of entrepreneurial opportunity and work content plateau and central plateau has a significant impact on entrepreneurial transformation decision.(4)after controlling for the influence of entrepreneurial opportunity recognition and career plateau, there were significant differences in entrepreneurial transition decisions among individuals with different regulatory focus types.Among different types of regulatory focus, the main effect of entrepreneurial opportunity recognition on entrepreneurial decision making is also different. The regulatory focus type has a moderating effect on the relationship between entrepreneurial opportunity recognition and entrepreneurial transformation decision.(5)in the influence mechanism of entrepreneurial opportunity recognition on entrepreneurial transformation decision, the individual's job-seeking efficacy changes significantly after entrepreneurial decision. Finally,we systematically summarize the main conclusions of this study, discuss the theoretical progress, practical significance of this study and its implications for entrepreneurial changers, and point out the shortcomings of this study and the direction of future research.
