Making use of the advantages of different rural functions is an important way to realize rural Revitalization.Evaluation of rural functions and optimization of land use can meet the development requirements of regional food production, ecological security, and socio-economic development functions, which is conducive to the realization of rural revitalization strategies.Based on the construction of a comprehensive evaluation index system for rural functions, this paper makes a scientific evaluation of rural functions, conducts research on the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of rural functions, analyzes the influencing factors of the spatial distribution characteristics of rural functions, and explores the influencing mechanism of the spatial distribution characteristics of rural functions. The spatial division of rural leading functions is achieved.Based on the development goals of rural functions in different regions, the CLUE-S model is used to optimize land use and draw the following conclusions:(1)The village function evaluation results show that the level of development of rural agricultural production, human settlements and ecological conservation functions in the Yangtze River Economic Belt has been increasing from 2006 to 2016.Among them, the upstream agricultural production functional levels have increased the most, and the midstream residents' living and ecological conservation functions have the largest increases obvious.(2)The spatial differentiation of production-living-ecological functions in rural areas of the Yangtze River Economic Belt was obvious.Midstream and downstream plain areas have a strong agricultural production function, downstream provincial capital cities and core development cities have powerful living function, and upstream and midstream mountainous and hilly areas have a strong ecological conservation function.(3)The influencing factors of the rural functional regional differences in the Yangtze River Economic Belt include slope, elevation, proportion of cultivated land area, proportion of ecological land area, population density, road density,GDP,urbanization rate, and location advantage.Land use structure factors such as area ratio are the dominant factors affecting the regional differences in rural functions.(4)The CLUE-S model was used to simulate the spatial changes of land use in 8types of rural functional areas in 2025.The results showed that: cultivated land in agricultural-dominated areas increased significantly, rural residential land in living-dominated areas continued to expand, and ecologically dominated areas were ecological The increase in land use is obvious. The area of cultivated land and rural residential land in agricultural-living areas has expanded. The area of rural residential land and ecological land in living-ecological areas has increased. The area of ecological land and cultivated land has increased in ecological-agricultural areas.Functions The area of various types of land in the development-type area has a small change, and the land use structure in the function-coordinated area is relatively reasonable. There is no obvious change in the area of all types of land.
