Research On Technical Efficiency Of Rice Production In Zhejiang Province Based On Frontier Theory

In recent years,the growth rate of grain production in China has slowed down.Under the background of ensuring food security and increasing food demand,it is more and more difficult to rely solely on technological progress and factor input to drive the sustained growth of food production.How to improve the utilization efficiency of resources and the technical efficiency of agricultural production is particularly important and urgent.In this paper,the frontier analysis method is used to measure the technical efficiency of farmers' rice production in Zhejiang,and the empirical analysis of the main factors affecting rice production in Zhejiang,which not only helps to enrich the theory of measuring the technical efficiency of grain production and influencing factor analysis,but also has important practical significance for improving the technical efficiency of China's grain production,stabilizing and increasing grain output.This article builds an SFA model based on the production frontier method,which can measure the technical efficiency value in one step and analyze the influence of various factors on the technical inefficiency.A DEA model was constructed.This model can measure the technical efficiency value and then convert it into technical inefficiency.The Tobit model is used to analyze the influence of various factors on the technical inefficiency.And the consistency of the disturbance terms of the Tobit model is tested.The robust CLAD model analyzes the influence of various factors on technical inefficiency.This paper uses the 2004-2016 survey data of farmers'rice production in Zhejiang Province,and uses the above two methods to measure the technical efficiency of rice production in Zhejiang Province.The effects of socio-economic and policy factors such as agricultural subsidies,land turnover rate,land rent,labor price,farmers' cultural level and age on the technical efficiency of rice production by farmers are analyzed.This paper draws the following main conclusions through descriptive analysis,technical efficiency assessment,and empirical analysis of influencing factors.First,the overall trend of the rice production technical efficiency in Zhejiang Province can be divided into three phases:the decline phase from 2004 to 2007;the rapid rise phase from 2007 to 2011;and the stable fluctuation phase from 2011 to 2016.Since 2011,there is still much room for improvement in Zhejiang rice technical efficiency.Second,in terms of production factors,the increase in land turnover rate,land rent,and labor price is conducive to the improvement of the technical efficiency of rice production in Zhejiang farmers.In terms of policy factors,the increase in subsidy income is not conducive to the improvement of rice production technical efficiency in Zhejiang farmers;In terms of socio-economic factors,the higher the peasant households' cultural level and the older they are,the better it is for Zhejiang's peasant households to improve their rice production technical efficiencyBased on the results of this paper,in order to improve the technical efficiency of grain production and reduce the negative impact of external factors on grain production,this paper puts forward some policy suggestions for reference.First,the administrative departments of the government need to continue to attach importance to the efficiency of resource allocation in food production,steadily improve the technical efficiency of food production,and ensure China's food security.Second,we'd better actively promote the market-oriented reform of agricultural input factors,reasonably and effectively allocate production input factors,realize the effective allocation of resources,and steadily improve food production efficiency and output.Third,we should actively promote the improvement of farmers' education level and the promotion of agricultural technology,attract young and middle-aged workers,optimize the grain planting population structure,and improve farmers' education level and ability to accept new knowledge and apply new technology.
