In the context of increasingly fierce social competition,in the face of high daily workload and work demand,employees are often difficult to get rid of work stress after work.The accumulation of pressure will directly affect their psychological state and the work performance next day.Therefore,how to release the work pressure after work and meet the new work challenge with full spirit has become an important issue for human resource management.Firstly,most of the existing research is limited to the role of non-work-related recovery experience in the process of recovery,while seldom paying attention to whether work-related thinking activitiespondering the solution to work problems after work is also beneficial to employees' recovery.Secondly,previous studies mainly focused on the supplement of recovery on individual emotions and physical resources,and less focus on resources related to individual work status and work performance,such as whether self-efficacy is also an effective indicator of recovery.Finally,few studies have explored the moderating role of individual difference variable on the effect of recovery,whether different types of people will have different recovery effects when participating in recovery activities.Based on the above points,this study will explore the impact of employees'problem-solving pondering after work on their psychological resources before bedtime,and pay attention to the moderating role of personality variable—segmentation preference.On the basis of reviewing the relevant literature,this study puts forward the hypothesis of the main effect based on the effort-recovery model and conservation of resources theory,employees' problem-solving pondering after work predict their positive affect,vigor and self-efficacy before bedtime,and puts forward the hypothesis of the moderating effect based on the boundary theory,segmentation preference between-person level suffers the impact of problem-solving pondering after work on their positive affect,vigor and self-efficacy,for employees with high segmentation preference,the impact of problem-solving pondering after work on their positive affect,vigor and self-efficacy is weaker.This study adopts the diary study method of the longitudinal study method,takes the employees as the research object.Questionnaires were completed during the 5 consecutive workdays after work and before bedtime,and a total of 79 valid data on the person level were obtained,and 393 valid data on the day level were obtained.SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 23 were used to perform sample feature statistics,reliability and validity analysis,common method variance test,and correlation analysis of each variable.The main effect and moderating effect were tested by hierarchical linear modeling-HLM 6.08.The results of this study show that:there is a positive relationship of problem-solving pondering after work with their(b)vigor and(c)self-efficacy before bedtime.And segmentation preference between-person level moderates the impact of problem-solving pondering after work on their positive affect,vigor and self-efficacy,for employees with high segmentation preference,the impact of problem-solving pondering after work on their positive affect,vigor and self-efficacy is weaker.This study enriched and expanded the study in the field of recovery by examining the dynamic impact of work-related recovery activities on psychological resources and the moderating role of personality factors,and provided inspiration for management practice.The innovations of this research are as follows:Firstly,in terms of theoretical model construction,this study expands the scope of previous research on non-work related recovery experiences,and introduces the variable"problem-solving pondering" to discuss the role of thinking about work problems positively after work on individual recovery,provides an achievable research perspective for the recovery field;this study adds a new dimension to the investigation of psychological resources-self-efficacy,and expands the scope of investigation of psychological resources in the field of recovery;this study incorporates the personality trait variable of "segmentation preference" into the between-person level.It examines the moderating role of the psychological resource supplementation process of work thinking,and enriches the research on the boundary conditions of the recovery experience to supplement the psychological resources.Secondly,in terms of study methods,this study selected the diary study method to capture the dynamic changes of employees' recovery status within a week,which can more accurately reflect the daily psychological and emotional indicators of employees.The research methods have been improved.
