Case Studies Of Team Creation Process Based On Collective Problem-solving

This study tried to use problem-solving theory and transactive memory system to explain the creation process of new product development team.This thesis selected outdoor sofa item and fold-away tent item as cases to explain correspondingly different stages of cases of new product development and to talk about the definition of creativity,team creativity and the creation process explored under the circumstances of the cases,from temporally distinct phases included in problem-solving framework,namely problem representation,planning,execution and evaluation.The hypothesis that producing creativity is because of rational representation of problem constraints,using right heuristics,and these result to right problem spaces.Creative problems that belong to ill-structured problems gradually become well-structured problems in the process of problem solving,the answer will be found if problem solver represents right problem space which includes the right answer.All these hypotheses have been verified in cases.This study came to the conclusion that there are some similarities between creative problem solving and general problem solving.Creative problem solving requires forming of intact transactive memory system, right problem representation,remaining unaffected by previous experiences and breaking mental set which have instructional significance for promoting creativity of teams in enterprises and organizations.
