Research On The Influencing Factors Of Agricultural Products Trade Between China And America

China is a traditional agricultural country with a long history of agricultural production and rich experience in production.Since the reform and opening up,China’s agricultural trade has achieved a relatively rapid development,so agricultural trade plays a pivotal role in foreign trade.Since China and the United States signed the china-us trade relations agreement in 1997,the scale of cooperation between the two countries has been expanding,and the areas of cooperation have been increasing.Therefore,the trade volume between China and the United States has been growing by leaps and bounds.Trade in agricultural products is an indispensable part of china-us economic and trade exchanges and plays an important role.The United States has always been one of the major importers of Chinese agricultural products.However,due to some social and political factors,trade frictions between China and the United States are often focused on the trade of agricultural products,but even so,the trade volume of agricultural products between China and the United States is still increasing.Therefore,in the context of sino-american trade friction,this paper systematically sorted out the current situation of sino-american agricultural trade,deeply studied the influencing factors of sino-american agricultural trade,and put forward corresponding policy Suggestions,which have important practical significance.Based on the relevant data of sino-american agricultural trade from 1997 to 2017,this paper firstly defines agricultural products and international trade of agricultural products,and then combs the current situation in detail from the perspectives of the trade imbalance,trade structure and trade market position of sino-american agricultural products.On this basis,combined with relevant data,this paper makes a theoretical analysis of the influencing factors of China’s agricultural exports to the United States and China’s agricultural imports from the United States.Then using the extension of the gravity model to empirical research on the influence factors of agricultural product trade of China and the United States,the results show that China’s agriculture,forestry and fishing investment proportion,crop planting or harvesting area of China,the United States trade freedom,China’s trade freedom,China’s agricultural products importdependency,exchange rate has a significant influence on agricultural product trade of China and the United States.Finally,based on the above research,countermeasures and Suggestions are put forward to promote the development of sino-american agricultural trade: improve the quality and output of agricultural products,and reduce trade barriers;Improve production methods by increasing investment in science and technology and training technical talents;To maintain the stability of exchange rate and reduce trade fluctuations;To open up China’s agricultural trade;Increasing investment in agriculture and improving the production efficiency of agricultural products;We will actively adjust the export structure of agricultural products and promote balanced development of agricultural exports.
