Research On The Influencing Factors Of American External Anti-dumping

Since China's accession to the WTO,trade frictions between China and the United States have been far more intense than those of any other bilateral country,and China has been subject to the highest number of anti-dumping cases brought by the United States.Chinese economists pointed out:the United States anti-dumping against China has a high severity,the United States anti-dumping investigation showed "overall decrease,but against China surge;Generally dispersed,but concentrated on China".Trade friction and anti-dumping have always been a hot topic in the field of international trade,With the development of reality,the content of research is also developing and updating.From the initial trade protection to the political and economic factors to the retaliatory factors,the research on the influence of the scientific and technological strength of the two countries on trade friction and anti-dumping initiation has been conducted.In this paper,literature analysis,qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis are combined to conduct in-depth analysis and research on the above phenomena.This paper first analyzes the classic and cutting-edge international anti-dumping and trade friction related literature,and then introduces the theory of trade protection,Including:Mercantilism,Infant Industry Theory,Strategic Trade Policy and New Trade Protectionism.And it summarizes and sorts out various factors that influence the initiation of anti-dumping by the United States.Then it introduces the theory of national strength and international competitiveness,that is,Cline's theory of five elements of national strength and competitive advantage of nations.And this paper analyzes and elaborates the reasons why the United States initiated anti-dumping,In particular,this paper studies the common causes of US antidumping through the counting model.Then,while studying the influence of economic factors and retaliatory factors on American antidumping litigation,on the basis of relevant theories and literature views,this paper innovatively selecting indicators that represent national strength and international competitiveness,and whether these indicators will affect the number of US anti-dumping prosecutions.With empirical method,using metering counting model,measuring results reveal that the gap between population and land area gap represented the basis of national power,RCA index for manufacturing to measure the trade competitiveness gap and measured by patent applications of science and technology gaps in the impact on the number of American anti-dumping regression results are very significant and robust.Finally,the general influence factors of American external anti-dumping are discussed.On the basis of the general influencing factors of American antidumping,this paper,from the perspective of international competition between China and the United States,makes an in-depth analysis of the fundamental causes of American antidumping to China and the essential problems of Sino-U.S.trade frictions from three aspects:comparative analysis of national strength,comparative analysis of scientific and technological strength and comparative analysis of Sino-U.S.trade strength.It is concluded that China's strong national basic strength and the ever-increasing international competitiveness in recent years have brought unprecedented competitive pressure and threat to the U.S.international competitive advantage in related fields,which is the important reason why the U.S.continuously upgrades the frequency and intensity of anti-dumping against China,and the U.S.pays more and more attention to the implementation of anti-dumping against China.Finally,it is concluded that due to the special national conditions of China and the United States,the anti-dumping and trade friction initiated by the United States against China are more due to the consideration of national strategy,and less affected by economic factors.Whether the US has initiated a large number of antidumping measures against China or the ongoing sino-us trade frictions,the root cause is structural and the strategic purpose of the US after measuring the potential strength and international competitiveness of rival countries.Then from the national level,the industry level,the enterprise level to give China's response to the increasingly fierce u.s.anti-dumping policy recommendations.
