An Empirical Study On The Interaction Between Technological Progress And Economic Development

Since the reform and opening up,especially after the 18 th national congress of the communist party of China(CPC),China’s comprehensive economic strength and scientific and technological strength have been significantly enhanced.However,the status quo of China’s social development has not changed.China is still in the primary stage of socialism,and the level of productivity still needs to be improved.As a factor of production other than capital and labor,technology plays an increasingly important role in economic development,and economic development plays an increasingly prominent role in promoting technological progress.In this new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation is coming,it is an important measure for China to leapfrog from developing country to developed country to give full play to the interaction between technology and economy.By deeply exploring the internal relationship between technological progress and economic development,the mechanism of action between technological progress and economic development was investigated,and the PVAR model was used to make an empirical analysis of the situation of technological progress and economic development in nanchang and its surrounding provincial capitals.The following conclusions were drawn: there is a positive relationship between technological progress and economic development,which can promote each other.Among the effects of technological progress on economic development,the proportion of R&D expenditure in GDP has the greatest impact on economic development.In the role of economic development on technological progress,GDP growth can promote technological progress more than industrial structure optimization.
