With the development of financial market and the deepening of opening to the outside world,banks are facing not only the market competition from foreign enterprises,but also the pressure of their own modernization transformation.Only by constructing a scientific and effective performance evaluation system and stimulating the potential and creativity of employees can we create greater market value for banks.However,the current performance evaluation of banks,but ignore the key factors of long-term development,is not conducive to improving the competitiveness of banks.Balanced Scorecard as a new performance appraisal tool,can be based on the long-term.Considering this,this paper takes B branch business department as an example,and combines the balanced scorecard to optimize its existing assessment system.with a view to provide ideas for business department to improve performance appraisal.First of all,this paper gives a detailed introduction to the current performance appraisal of the business department,from the historical and practical aspects,to explore its existing problems and reasons;and the design principles and ideas of this paper related to the analysis of the necessity and feasibility of using balanced scorecard.Secondly,according to the strategic objectives of the department,draw the strategic map;decompose the indicators of the strategic objectives;construct the assessment system based on the two levels of the department and the staff,and calculate the weight.Finally,in order to make the new assessment system can be implemented successfully,the problems and matters needing attention in its application are explained.First,before the application,we should carry on the plan audit,issue the notice,communicate and communicate.Secondly,we should set up a certain assessment cycle and make a good plan for the application of the assessment results.Third,in the application process,to strictly implement,dynamic adjustment.Fourth,there should be relevant safeguards.
