Under the seemingly calm storm after the world economic crisis,However, there is still a huge deep-seated crisis.Under the influence of this deep-seated level,China's foreign demand market continues to be in a downturn. At the same time,China is still facing different levels of complex forms, such as the rising cost of factors, the blockade of science and technology by developed countries and other issues. Therefore,in this environment,China's current foreign trade situation is still very severe, and the pressure at home and abroad It's also growing. From the international point of view, although the world economy has shown a steady recovery since the 2008 financial crisis,it is still not so optimistic as far as the international market as a whole is concerned. Some of the common phenomena in the world today are low foreign demand, increased trade friction, global industrial value chain restructuring, and the world economic and trade pattern is in a state of continuous adjustment. From the domestic point of view,China's macroeconomic control policy is facing enormous pressure and challenges. In general,China's situation in the current stage of international trade is not so good.In 2014,General Secretary Xi Jinping made the first survey in Henan that China's economy has entered a new normal period of economic development.Under the new normal economic background, the goal of China's economic development has become the transformation anddevelopment of China's foreign trade. For more than 40 years since the reform and opening up,due to the limitation of China's basic national conditions in the early stage of reform and opening up,China has long focused on the expansion of export scale and ignored the impact of import trade on China's economic development, which is also the root cause of China's long-standing import and export imbalance. At the same time,it also blamed China for the developed countries The crackdown on China provides a perfect excuse for China to suffer from foreign trade frictions. In fact,China has always ignored the huge impact of import trade on China's economic growth.Import trade can promote the transformation and development of China's foreign trade by stabilizing growth, adjusting structure and improving technology. Therefore, under the new normal background of increasing trade protection and economic friction,it is more important to study the impact of import trade on the transformation and development of China's foreign trade.First of all,on the basis of sorting out the relevant documents such as the transformation and upgrading of import trade and foreign trade, this paper clarifies the influencing factors and mechanisms of import trade on the transformation and development of China's foreign trade, and on this basis, taking the current situation of China's import trade as a breakthrough, analyzes its specific characteristics changes in the context of the new normal.Secondly, based on the previous theoretical analysisand literature analysis, this paper elaborates the influencing factors and mechanism of import trade on the transformation and development of China's foreign trade from three perspectives of economic growth level, technological innovation ability and industrial structure optimization level. At last, the paper takes the total import trade of 31 provinces and autonomous regions in the past 12 years as the core explanatory variable to establish the econometric model for empirical analysis. The empirical results show that import trade has a positive impact on economic growth, technological innovation ability and industrial structure upgrading, and the development of import trade can also be based on the positive impact of these three factors to accelerate the transformation process of China's foreign trade. Finally, based on the theoretical analysis and empirical analysis of the full text, relevant policies and suggestions are obtained.
