The integrated urban and rural development is a major adjustment of the country's urban and rural development thinking. It is an important strategic deployment for the country to enter a new stage of transformation and development to solve major social and economic contradictions and problems. It is a prior choice for gradual transformation of urban and rural construction paths to open channels for mutual flow of urban and rural factors and promot the improvement of rural production, living, and ecological environment. This enables cities and villages to perform their respective duties, and achieve co-goverance and sharing of urban and rural development. At present, the path of spatial urban-rural integration networking is still in the exploration stage in terms of theory and practice. The issues like the aspects of urban-rural integration, the current status of urban-rural integration and the path of achieving the goal of urban-rural integration have not been clarified or reached consensus. In this paper,a spatial urban-rural integration networking model is establishd, taking Wuhan as the case.First,we use NPP/VIIRS nighttime light data to assess the urban factor allocation and operational efficiency and effectiveness. Then this study detects the spatial correlation intensity,spatial-temporal evolution of spatial connection potential energy and the change of social-economic location index of urban-rural integration areas using the gravity model.Based on the results above, influencing factors of urban-rural integration spatial networking is identified and the indicator system is built.Indicator information is extracted through Arcgis next. Finally, this paper evaluats the spatial network status of Wuhan urban-rural integration using Bayesian network model, predicts and proposes optimization strategies. The results are as follows:(1)The desakota region in Wuhan has expanded by 28.10%,and sprawls most significantly to the northwest during 2016-2018.This process is characterized by the integration of small plaques and the enhancement of regional development continuity.(2)The spatial connection network structure among desakota regions in Wuhan tends to be “polycentric”,which originates from the changes of economic development level, urbanization development scale and traffic accessibility. The economy of development areas such as Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone,Sino-French Wuhan Ecological Demonstration City,Wuhan Airport Economic Zone, etc.is the engine of regional development in decentralized process. With the creation and improvement of various economic development zones, the industries and functions undertaken by different urban-rural integration zones have gradually matured and shoe different forms. The complementarity of functions is key to the strong spatial connection with other urban-rural integration zones.(3)The spatial correlation pattern of urban-rural integration area in Wuhan has been transformed from the “big and small cores” structure consisted by Hongshan District and Jiangxia District to the “peripheral circle” structure composed of Jiangxia-Hongshan-Caidian-Huangchun-Dongxihu.The spatial connection intensities of desakoda regions have increased year by year, but Hongshan and Jiangxia,as the core areas of Wuhan urban-rural integration area, failed to form multi-directional spatial radiation force and attractiveness, which led to insufficient positive effects to other areas obviously.(4)The changes of social-economic location index of each urban-rural integration zone show that it is more significant for the implementation performance of existing Wuhan city planning in the north, west and northeast parts of urban-rural integration area.(5)The influence of various indicators on urban-rural integration spatial networking from strong to weak is as follows: functional complementarity, economy, spatial, social indicators and ecology.(6)The state of urban-rural integration spatial networking change under different conditions of single factor like economy, functional complementarity, space, social and ecology.Enhancing regional economy, functional complementarity or space accessibility can improve urban and rural height and moderate spatial networking.High economy development and functional complementarity are more conducive to highly urban-rural integrated spatial networking. It is difficult to effectively promote urban-rural integrated spatial networking only by improving the quality of the ecological environment, but when the ecological environment is generally good,it has a positive role in promoting the integration of urban and rural spatial networking.(7)The difficulty and complexity of increasing the spatial networking level of the urban-rural integration in Wuhan gradually increase from the city center to rural area.It is more difficult to develop from the rural to urban-rural integration zone than from the urban-rural integration zone to the city center. The key factors of spatial urban-rural integration network promotion in different parts of Wuhan are different.According to the shortcomings of spatial accessibility, economy, society and function complementarity, the implementation of targeted improvement measures can effectively improve the urban-rural integration spatial networking level. On the basis of the above-mentioned results, the following suggestions are made:(1)Make full use of the economic development zone to strengthen the spatial connections of the desakotas.Governments should discover urban-rural integration areas with development potential, take the lead in investing innovative resources and adopt preferential policies, encouraging the development of horizontal and multilateral relations with surrounding areas, and promoting the development of urban-rural integration spatial networking.(2)In the "multi-center" development process of urban-rural integration, the late-developing regions should focus on characteristic development, and take the path of complementary and misaligned development combining the industrial characteristics of the region and the advantages of natural resources. The improvement of functional complementarity is conducive to urban-rural integration spatial networking.(3)Strengthen the research on the correlation between the newly added space and the stock space, promoting the compact layout of different areas of the city in terms of population, economy, land use structure, etc.,and achieving smart growth of the city in multiple directions.(4)In the low-and middle-level areas of urban-rural integrated spatial networking, the economic development should be stabilized, and the transportation facilities such as roads, subways, and public transportation should be gradually built on the premise of ensuring the quality of the ecological environment. In areas with higher urban-rural integrated spatial networking levels, efforts should be made to improve the quality of the ecological environment, strengthen functional complementarity and economy, supportting the spatial urban-rural integration networking to the highest level.(5)It can more effectively promote urban-rural integration spatial networking to improve key factors with focoused resource according to shortcomings found.
