With the continuous development of China's economy and the progress of urbanization, the cities are playing leading roles in social development which have been replaced gradually by urban networks.Urban agglomeration,as an important carrier of the spatial layout of the country, has become a new platform for countries and regions to participate in economic competition. Thus, their development has been highly valued by government and scholars. In recent years, people have paid particular attention to the analysis of inter-city links and structures from the perspective of urban networks. What's more, constructing urban networks has become the current urbanization process in the formation of a stable equilibrium structure under the inevitable trend. This paper summarizes the relevant theories of urban agglomeration at home and abroad, studies the literature and current situation of urban development in China, and focuses on the definition of urban agglomeration formed by urban network connection among cities and urban agglomerations. In the empirical analysis, the paper selected 288 cities which above the national level as research samples, using the 2015 China Urban Statistical Yearbook, the provincial and municipal statistical yearbook and statistical data in the relevant data as a basis for cross-sectional data, combined with the actual city Geographical location, according to the comprehensive strength of the city, the level of real estate development and inter-city traffic between the three indicators of the establishment of urban agglomeration network analysis system. The principal component analysis was used to calculate the comprehensive strength of all the sample cities. The gravitational model was used to calculate the gravitational values betweenthe two cities. The spatial network of the sample cities was explored by means of social network analysis. The results are as follows:(1)The final set of 19 urban agglomerations is determined. It is proved that the gravitational model combined with the social network analysis method is feasible for the 288 prefecture-Sex.(2)The Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei as the representative of the analysis of the urban agglomeration within the spatial network, found that the Yangtze River Delta's overall network of the most closely related, with multiple central cities and the layout of the balance of the surrounding cities The effect is better.Pearl River Delta around the city in two square to Guangzhou and Shenzhen, respectively, close to the trend of convergence.Beijing and Tianjin in Beijing, the advantages of prominent, but the core area of poor stability, not the formation of multi-center collaborative network structure.(3)The spatial network of urban agglomerations is studied with the central cities of each city group, and the differences among urban agglomerations are analyzed and compared.First of all,by the central city of the formation of the overall network there is a certain network of contacts, and the center of gravity focused on the Central Plains region.Central and eastern central cities are more obvious, but the west is relatively isolated.Secondly, the spatial network of the eastern urban agglomeration is the most closely related and the degree of concentration is obvious, followed by the middle and the western city network is not obvious.According to the above findings, the following policy recommendations are put forward: firstly, the government should adjust the spatial structure of urban agglomeration and strengthen the regional leading role.Secondly, the large cities' function should be released and inter-city collaboration should be promoted.Thirdly, the government should break the administrative boundaries to co-ordinate regional development.Lastly, the number of cities should be increased appropriately and the development of small and medium-sized cities should be accelerated.
