A Study On The Development Spatial Pattern Of Small And Medium-Sized Cities In Central Yunnan Urban Agglomeration Based On Urban Gravity Model

Central Yunnan Urban Agglomeration is the most prosperous region in Yunnan Province.It is not only the leader to promote the economic development of the whole province,but also an important area to participate in regional cooperation and competitive development at home and abroad.Therefore,studying the development trend of the cities in Central Yunnan Urban Agglomeration has practical significance to promote the more harmonious development of Central Yunnan Urban Agglomeration and formulate development policies for state,municipal and local governments.Taking forty-one cities in the central Yunnan Urban Agglomeration as the main research object,at first,this thesis constructs the urban quality index to measure the development level of the cities from six aspects:economic and social development,public service infrastructure,rural development,urban development and population scale,then calculates the urban comprehensive quality of each city through SPSS software and principal component analysis.Thus,the distribution of urban competitiveness of them is determined.Second,using the urban gravity model,combined with Arc GIS and Excel,the urban gravity of the cities is calculated,then their spatial pattern is analyzed from the macro Central Yunnan Urban Agglomeration and the meso urban circle of each state.It is concluded that it has a series of problems such as weak overall attraction,little regional growth,isolated urban gravity of Kunming,cities develop in groups.At the end,take the balanced development as the economic development pattern,“Point axis drives,multi-group develop”as the spatial pattern development goal,this thesis puts forward the development pattern of the cities in overall and each state.The thesis also makes some suggestions for the coordinated development of the cities from the following aspects:accelerating the formation of the sub-urban agglomerations,improving the quality of the cities,perfecting the infrastructure construction,guiding the urban agglomeration in an orderly manner and constructing the industrial division system to optimize the urban development pattern and accelerate the integration of urban agglomeration development process.
