Manufacturing enterprises now have to make transformation and upgrading themselves as the industrial economy of China is getting into the supply-front economy reformation,coming with the problems of intensifying competition in the market,the escalating needs of customers and the increase of production costs.There are three issues need to be solved when the enterprises facing mentioned problems,the first is higher production efficiency but lower return on capital,the second will be the limited core technology and the last one is the excess capacity,therefore lots of enterprises are facing the challenge they never met before.Lean Six Sigma is an innovative management method that has been put into practice and tested in recent years.Lean Six Sigma is designed to compensate for individual deficiencies and achieve better results by integrating lean production with Six Sigma management and absorbing the advantages of two management approaches.More and more enterprises have introduced lean production and Six Sigma,and have achieved some success,and try to integrate lean production and Six Sigma management into the operating system to achieve management change,but at the moment there is not much enterprises which make continuous improvement and benefit from it.In this paper,first part gives a comprehensive overview of the theory of lean production(Toyota production system)and Six Sigma management,and about the combination of Lean Six Sigma.Then it is pointed out that increasing the production efficiency of parts is an urgent problem faced by C Company.Based on the research and analysis on the present management condition of C company which is an advantage company in China plastic machinery industry,combining the lean practice of C company,this paper puts forward the Lean Six Sigma management method from the view of value stream,and proves the effectiveness of the management method by the result of the improved production operation.In the project implementation level,combined with the DMAIC? process,the productivity improvement of the company's steel bushing parts and shorten the manufacturing cycle was studied,and concrete improvement methods were given,and the project had made some progress.This paper points out how to implement Lean Six Sigma management process in discrete manufacturing enterprises,and elaborates that this management method should be combined with the characteristics of enterprises in order to promote the development of each other.At the end of the article,the paper sums up some key success factors of Lean Six Sigma,and makes a future prospect that it will put forward some valuable references for the implementation of Lean Six Sigma management method in domestic manufacturing enterprises.
