Knowledge Spillovers And Enterprise Innovation Performance In Innovative Industrial Clusters

The emergence of innovative industrial clusters makes the frequency of communication between enterprises more intensive,and the level of communication more in-depth,which provides the possibility of continuous knowledge spillover between enterprises;and more frequent knowledge spillover,while reducing the repeated R & D process,also promotes the full use of enterprise innovation resources,which is of great significance for the improvement of enterprise innovation performance level.In the existing research,scholars have analyzed the correlation between knowledge spillover and innovation performance in macro level;but for innovation industry cluster,an important unit of cooperative innovation,the previous research is obviously insufficient.This paper defines the research scope in an innovative industrial cluster in Beijing China.After measuring the two main indexes,knowledge spillovers and enterprise innovation performances,this article analyses the correlation among the two indexes by statistical method and econometric method.A game model is established in this article to explain the correlation.Firstly,this article summarizes the concept,features and developing trend of innovative industrial clusters in China by literature analysis,and points out it is knowledge spillovers that the most important benefit for enterprise's development supported by innovative industrial clusters.Secondly,it uses data envelopment analysis method with zero data to measure enterprise innovation performances,and uses knowledge stock to measure the internal knowledge spillovers of innovative industrial cluster.Then,this article finds the main result of correlation between the two indexes,by calculating the correlation coefficient and making the Granger Causal Relation Test.The end of this article explains the result after establishing an evolutionary game model.It is found that the impact of knowledge spillovers on the innovation performance of enterprises tends to weaken in the innovative industrial cluster;in the early stage,the relationship between the two is obvious,but gradually weakened in the later stage.By the evolutionary game model,there are two available evolutionarily stable strategies(ESS)of the cooperative innovation in the innovative industrial cluster,one of which is the proportion of enterprises willing to accept their own knowledge spillover gradually reduce to the zero point.It shows the same result in empirical analysis and evolutionary game model.Thus,the innovative industrial cluster selected as a sample has the state that the influence of internal knowledge spillover tends to weaken gradually until it disappears completely.To reverse this trend,the two main measures are changing the initial endowment and adjusting the position of unstable equilibrium point.
