In recent years, with the rapid development of the automotive aftermarket, spare parts as the main source of profit in the have become the focus of auto companies. However, the large number of spare parts, complex categories, and large fluctuations in demand and lead time make inventory management more difficult.Because the level of inventory management directly affects the service level and thus the company's efficiency, the inventory management of spare parts has always been a big problem that plagued auto companies, and it is also an important factor affecting the market competitiveness of auto companies. This paper mainly takes company B as an example.Through the analysis of company B's spare parts characteristics, inventory management model and actual inventory situation,it is found that company B currently has inventory backlog and serious stock shortages, high safety stocks, transshipment The problem of higher costs. In response to this problem, first of all,an appropriate ordering strategy was selected for automobile spare parts with higher value, greater demand, and uncertain lead time and demand.A two-level inventory management strategy based on centralization was proposed. The core idea of this strategy is to centrally store safety stocks in the central distribution center(CDC)and store normally consumed stocks in the regional distribution center(RDC).When the RDC is out of stock, emergency shipment from CDC to the RDC is given priority, and when the shortage is not fully satisfied, the horizontal transfer between the RDCs is taken.Subsequently, the influencing factors of inventory management were specifically analyzed, and on this basis, random lead time and random demand were considered, and a two-level inventory optimization model including centralized ordering and transshipment was established with the goal of minimizing total cost, which was organized the historical data is substituted into the genetic algorithm to optimize the model.By comparing the optimization plan with the original plan of Company B,the results show that the inventory management method that considers centralized ordering and transshipment can effectively reduce safety stocks and reduce total costs while maintaining a high service level, proving the superiority of the improved model. In addition, the effectiveness analysis and sensitivity analysis were used to verify the effectiveness of the improved model, and the degree of influence of different parameters on the total cost was explored, which provided a reference for the company B to adopt a reasonable and effective auto spare parts inventory management method. There are 15 pictures,19 tables and 54 references in this paper.
