| With the rapid development of China’s economy and society,the conflict between the urban-rural dual economic structure getting more serious.The issue of old-age security for rural residents has become a key issue in the urban-rural dual structure.Even though the coverage of old-age security for urban and rural residents is increasing year after year,the insurance contribution level of rural residents hasn’t risen accordingly.Since the implementation of the old-age insurance system for urban and rural residents,Jianyang District of Nanping City has basically achieved full coverage.However,due to the policy that one can select the level of insurance on his will,more than 90% of rural residents choose the minimum insurance plan.Based on the situation described as above,this paper takes the rural residents of Jianyang district of Nanping City as the research subject and through the combination of the questionnaire survey and individual interviews,the analysis applies the public goods theory,the social security theory,and behavioral decision theory,analyzes how the personal factors,government behavior factors and the institutional factors influencing rural residents ’choice of contribution level of old-age insurance for urban and rural residents.It turns out,Age,level of education,average monthly income,number of children,policypromotion,policy awareness,trust in fund management,satisfaction with the increase in basic pensions,incentive mechanism of overpayment and long-term and other factors have a significant impact on rural residents ’choice of higher payment levels.Therefore,it puts forward policy suggestions to improve the income level of rural residents,raising awareness of youth support for the elderly,increase the publicity of insurance policies for urban and rural residents,improve fund operation management system,improve the level of old-age security,and improve the incentive mechanism. |
