An Study On The Effect Of Tariff Reduction On The China-Switzerland Free Trade Area

Today's world is undergoing complex and profound changes.The deep-seated impact of the international financial crisis continues to show.The pattern of international investment and trade and multilateral investment and trade rules are brewing profound adjustments.In this context,to promote economic globalization and regional economic cooperation in a better direction has become an objective need for economic development of all countries.Among them,the negotiation of free trade agreements is a policy measure actively pursued by all countries.The Chinese government attaches great importance to the steady implementation of the free trade zone strategy.By 2020,China has signed 17 free trade agreements involving 25 countries / regions.China Switzerland free trade agreement was signed in July 2013 and came into force in July 2014.It is the first free trade agreement signed by European countries in China.Since the implementation of the agreement,bilateral trade has grown rapidly,which has a huge impact on the economy of China and Switzerland.Based on the trade data of China and Switzerland,through the theoretical and empirical research on the effect of tariff reduction after the establishment of the free trade zone,this paper analyzes the impact of the free trade agreement on the economic and trade relations between the two countries and the impact on different industries of the two countries,and puts forward suggestions to help the steady development of the free trade zone.The first part of this paper is the introduction,which mainly describes the research background,theoretical and practical significance,literature collation,innovation and shortcomings.The second part is the theoretical analysis part,combined with the purpose of this study,from the theoretical point of view of the use of classic trade theoretical model,the establishment of China Switzerland Free Trade Zone tariff reduction effect of theoretical analysis,the results.The third part combs the specific process of the development and establishment of China Switzerland Free Trade Zone,analyzes and understands the contents of the free trade agreement by carefully reading the model of the free trade agreement between China and Switzerland,and extracts the references about the trade of goods.After getting familiar with the content of the text,the relevant annexes of the free trade agreement between China and Switzerland are sorted out,mainly calculating thesub chapters of the HS code chapters of China and Switzerland The average tax rate of tariff is prepared for the follow-up empirical study.The fourth part collects the trade data of China and Switzerland through the United Nations trade database,and analyzes and calculates them.This paper mainly analyzes the changes of trade volume between China and Switzerland in recent years;divides the data in Chapter 97 of HS code into 21 categories of industry data,analyzes the trade structure of China and Switzerland from different perspectives;analyzes the trade combination and trade complementarity of China and Switzerland through the calculation of trade data of 21 categories of industry.In the fifth part,based on the above analysis,the trade gravity model is established,and the LSDV method in the fixed effect model is used to analyze the trade volume of China's import Switzerland and China's export Switzerland.The empirical analysis includes the analysis of the overall trade volume and the analysis of different advantageous industries.The impact of tariff reduction on the trade scale of China and Switzerland is analyzed and demonstrated from different angles?Finally,according to all the research findings of the paper,the tariff reduction makes the two trade volumes increase significantly,and has a huge impact on the advantageous industries in Switzerland.The impact on the advantageous industries in China needs to be further improved.At the same time,this paper suggests that we should continue to increase trade with Switzerland,give full play to the role of the free trade zone,encourage Chinese enterprises to go abroad,and increase support for China's advantageous industries.
