| Enterprise strategic management,an overall,long-term and instructional planning regarding how to formulate strategy for enterprise operation and development for a period of time in the future made in accordance with the enterprise’s own development status and the external environment,plays a crucial role in determining whether the enterprise can maintain sustainable development.Therefore,it is an important subject that must be seriously taken into account.In recent years,with the huge demand brought by the economic and social development,China’s petrochemical industry has experienced a relatively fast expansion,leading a large number of relevant enterprises gaining a good momentum of development.However,with further advance of supply side structural reform and the profound change and adjustment of China’s economic structure transitioning from quantity-oriented to quality-oriented,as well as the increasingly perfect and strict regulations on energy consumption,environmental protection and safety production,etc.,the petrochemical industry is bound to face new challenges and revolutions.Given the situation,the relevant enterprises,apart from building a keen awareness of making the best use of the circumstances and developing their own strengths while avoiding weaknesses in the meantime,are also required to improve the core competitiveness by formulating and implementing corporate development strategy in a both scientific and effective way,thus maintaining a good development posture in the fierce market competition and strict policy regulation.Petrochemical company A studied in this paper is the only local oil refining enterprise reserved by the state in Southwest China.While gaining special policy advantages,its benefits have declined drastically due to poor management,causing it being forced to carry out bankruptcy reorganization.At present,the bankruptcy reorganization procedure has been completed and the production line is being resumed in good order.In the early stage of the company’s rebirth,the theory of enterprise strategic management,the macro environment analysis based on “PEST”,the competitive environment analysis based on “Porter’s five forces model”,the“SWOT” analysis as well as other enterprise strategic planning tools have been applied in this paper in analyzing and assessing the advantages and disadvantages of the company’s operation and development,and the opportunities and challenges lying ahead.Then a conclusion has been drawn that the company should,based on the "three levels"(the company level,the business level and the function level),adopt the growth-oriented strategy,the goal-focused strategy,the talent-oriented strategy,the market expanding strategy and the culture promotion strategy respectively.Therefore,the enterprise mission,the development vision and the short-term goal have been defined according to this conclusion.Furthermore,the implementation countermeasures of "technological innovation" "green production" "product quality" "petrochemical synergy" and relevant safeguard measures have been put forward,aiming to provide assistance and reference for the long-term development and planning of the company. |
