In the context of open innovation,user participation in innovation has become a vital research area.As innovation subject and product user of innovative network,organizational users have dual relationships,namely the relationship between supply and demand,the relationship of complementarity with leading manufacturer.Under the background of industry 4.0,enterprises adapt to the rapidly changing competitive environment and market demand by practicing modularization strategy.In complex innovation systems,modularization is a process of dynamic decomposition and integration through standardized interfaces and loose coupling,in which Leading manufacturers and other members of complex product systems form a collaborative innovation network through modularization of technology,product,organization and process.Therefore,research on the impact of organizational user participating in modular innovation on the innovation performance of leading manufacturer is conducive to better satisfying users? personalized and diversified needs,and has certain guiding significance for realizing resource sharing and complementary advantages among the main bodies in the innovation network and breaking the low-end lock-in dilemma.Based on the perspective of B2 B,with Modularization level as a moderator,this paper explores the mechanism of the three dimensions of organizational user participation involvement(user participation scope,user participation depth and user participation intensity)in modular innovation network affecting the innovation performance of leading manufacturer.Six hypotheses are put forward and an empirical model is constructed.The hypothesis is tested by stepwise stratified regression analysis using data collected from 168 Enterprises by questionnaires.The results showed that: first,user participation scope has a significant positive effect on the innovation performance of leading manufacturer.Secondly,user participation depth has a significant positive effect on the innovation performanc e of leading manufacturer.There is a substitution effect between user participation scope and user participation depth on the innovation performance of the leading manufacturer.The substitution effect of user participation depth is greater than that of user participation scope.Thirdly,user participation intensity has a significant positive effect on the innovation performance of leading manufacturer.Fourthly,modularization level has a significant positive moderating effect on innovation the performance of leading manufacturer.Fifthly,modularization level has a significant positive moderating effect on the innovation performance of leading manufacturer.However,moderating effect of modularization level on user participation scope is not significant.Referring to the conclusions of this paper,we can find that in the practice of production and management,reasonable modularization level can promote user involvement,it can help leading manufacturer to meet users? individual needs more effectively and achieve good technological performance and economic benefits.Organizational users should weigh the “investment ratio” of user participation depth and user participation scope imitating the substitution effect of capital and technology in production function,so as to meet their own needs and economic benefits.
