With the development of the world economy and the rapid change in IT industry,software service companies are facing a reshuffle in the whole industry.The main business of company A is a software service outsourcing and technical support.In recent years,due to the lag of A company in enterprise management and the increasing share of emerging IT enterprises in the market,under the background of the new normal market economy,the uncertainty of the future of enterprises is very prominent.In the fierce competitive environment,how to improve the core competitiveness of enterprises and operational efficiency of enterprises,performance management as the core of modern enterprise management is particularly important.This paper takes A company as the research object.At present,there are many problems in company performance management,such as inconsistent performance evaluation indicators and strategic objectives,weak performance communication,and lack of performance evaluation results in salary adjustment,resulting in staff morale deficiency and high turnover rate.Firstly,this paper summarizes the relevant theories of performance management,and through the elaboration and analysis of the relevant theories of performance management and competency at home and abroad,lays a theoretical foundation for the follow-up study.In the part of case analysis,through the description of events happened in the daily operation of Company A,the application of competency model in modern enterprise management is expounded.This paper decomposes the strategic objectives and organizational objectives of A company,combs the responsibilities of employees,compares the competencies of excellent employees and ordinary employees,and obtains the competency model of A company's technicians.According to this model,the performance appraisal is integrated into it and a new and perfect appraisal system is established.Based on the theory of employee competency and the related theory of performance management,the results of performance appraisal are applied to management practice.The goal of this paper is to put forward corresponding solutions and countermeasures according to the environment and development strategy of company A and the practical problems encountered in performance management.These countermeasures will play a good role in promoting the development of A company's technical support center.They can effectively combine the goals of enterprises and employees,improve the performance of the company's overall operation and enhance the core competitiveness of the company's market.
